This camera has a very high fps capability, as much as 11fps, and also has a very fast auto focus. That combination is ideal for sports action photography. Coupled with a good prime lens, it even performs well in low indoor light situations.

Good camera, crisp photos, great for outdoor photography, could be better with indoor photos lighting, good colors, recommend using Manual Aperture mode as that is the one setting you'll find yourself adjusting a whole lot, as it adjusts how much of background to blur out when focused on one subject. Horrible strap, get a new one ASAP, very rough material, but I guess it gets the job done. Overall good camera! Will update with photos when I go to another state (probably next year) as Iowa is not the most stunning environment per se, unless you loooove corn.

We purchased this camera specifically for action situations. Our old Sony Point and Shot just did not do well with action shots. We are very pleased with the Sony A6000. It does take some getting used to as it has many more features that require an understanding of how to operate the camera to get the desired results. As time goes by we are getting better with it. It is a bit pricey to get what we actually wanted.

Compact, yet easy to hold and handle. Very good picture quality, and great selection of options for exposure and settings.

It's the best bang for your buck. This camera is small but has all the great qualities of a more expensive professional looking camera

If you're looking for a semi-pro transition camera, and you have been using a DSLR for a few years, this is a fantastic camera. I went from A100K to this and the picture quality is amazing. Gives you a lot of control over image and capture manipulation. Portrait and low light photography are especially impressive.

I needed a camera bad to upgrade the quality of my food pictures. I am a personal chef so I was looking for something that would give me great detail without breaking the bank. This an awesome gem. I love this camera, and I look forward to shooting many memories with this camera. The learning curve was not bad at all especially with all the YouTube videos available . Highly recommended camera.

I recently purchased purchased A6000 and I love it. I was deciding between this camera and the Nikon, and I have to say I am glad I went with this camera because it is great for a beginner, it's much lighter and it takes amazing photos.

Great camera, perfect for high quality photos. Easy to use

The Sony a6000 is fully automatic camera that takes quality photos easily for the novice. However it's many shooting modes allows the user to learn how to take more professional looking photos at their own pace. The user has semi-automatic and full manual modes to tweak lighting, shutter speed and aperture to create the desired photo effects. The panorama mode takes some getting used to and it fails if you pan too fast or too slow. Otherwise the result is a fine photo. The SCRN modes facilitate photo taking for novices in special cases. The "anti-shake" mode for handheld low lighting situations works much better than I ever expected. The battery life is good, and select a high capacity, high speed memory card for best results. The 24 megapixel camera resolution yields 8 to 9 MB jpeg files.

I bought that camera just for my vacation. I like it a lot....it is light, easy to use, the best picture you may get at that price.

I originally had the Sony a5000 and decided I wanted to upgrade to the a6000 because of the faster autofocusing speeds, the extra menu dial for navigation and especially the viewfinder. Its a relatively easy to use camera since I don't use it for professionally in any way, just to take pictures here and there for family events. Be sure to read the manual if you plan on maximizing your experience with the Sony a6000 since there's a lot of menu options and features you can tweak around to fit your shooting style.
