This was our first time buying a "good" camera (not just a point and shoot). We got it right before a vacation in the mountains and we were able to learn how to use it very quickly and ended up getting some great shots from our trip! We're hoping to get some better lenses in the future and use this camera for a very long time! I would definitely recommend it for someone just getting into photography or someone who just wants a good quality camera to catch all of life's moments!

Sony A6000 is a Treasure Product

I would like to buy this product with body only: just save it as my spare part to use. It is a great product in the market. Especially for anyone who would like to start exploring digital photography. It is wonderful that it offers The feature of 11 fps continuous shooting with subject-tracking. The new a6000 sits in the same place in Sony's mirrorless lineup and offers a broadly similar feature set, but adds a number of significant new features (while also losing the NEX moniker of its predecessor). The resolution and processor have been bumped up, the most notable feature on the a6000 is its updated Hybrid AF system. The company also claims that the a6000 has the fastest AF performance on the market, though those statements should always be taken with a grain of salt. Sony a6000 key features 24.3 megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor Bionz X image processor Hybrid AF system with 25 contrast-detect and 179 phase-detect points Built-in flash + Multi-Interface Shoe 11 fps continuous shooting with subject-tracking 3-inch tilting LCD with 921,600 dots OLED electronic viewfinder with 1.44M dots Diffraction correction, area-specific noise reduction, and detail reproduction technology Full HD video recording at 1080/60p and 24p; clean HDMI output Wi-Fi with NFC capability and downloadable apps

If you're reading this review, you've most likely also cross shopped a Canon T something, or a Nikon DX format DSLR. Look no further because this camera, or the pricier A6300/A6500 are all you need to look at. This camera is not only smaller than the Canon/Nikon, but the lenses are better. The sensor in this camera also has way more dynamic range (depth of colors) than the Canikon cameras. Why buy a camera in 2017 with an old flappy mirror. Move up to mirrorless!

I am an avid photographer, always looking for the next best thing and this is the next best thing. I own a Nikon DSLR which I am attached to like velcro, but it's taken a back seat to the Sony. The photos are amazing, clear and crisp and it's so easy to carry around. It's not bulky and heavy. It's worth the purchase. Very satisfied.

Great for all levels of photography. Nicely intuitive interface and easy to handle. Picture quality is excellent and raw capture is an advantage. Sony has taken a prime place in providing advanced features. The camera is light weight with a great grip that should give everyone an advantage in all aspects of photography and lens choices are good.

I am a licensed real estate agent, I've had photography courses in college but I am not a photographer. The Sony A6000 Mirrorless Camera is absolutely perfect for my use. The interchangeable lenses for Ultra-Wide Angle being able to get my shots for interior wide angles is PERFECT! I would highly suggest anyone to purchase for their needs, and even higher of a suggestion for any real estate purchases (with an upgraded wide angle lens of course)
