The best camera I have ever owned! When my little boy was born; I bought it to start taking professional/quality photos of him. I had this camera for 3 years, and it was fantastic. A couple months ago I dropped it, and the lens would make a strange retracting noise. I took it in to Best Buy to have them send it off for repair (the extended 3 year warranty I purchased was going to expire in a couple of months). When I received the camera back it still made a slight clicking noise when the camera lens retracted. I was given a gift card for the value of the camera at the time of purchase. For the next couple of months, I did a lot of research to see how far mirrorless cameras have come, and if I wanted to splurge on the Sony A7000 or even another brand. My final result was still the Sony A6000. It is a quality, timeless, amazing camera. Protect your investment by getting the extended warranty. Yes, it's expensive, but it will give you peace of mind. Also register your camera with Sony, so they can be of assistance if you have repair questions later on too. One of my favorite features is that you can send the photos from the camera straight to your phone instantly.

This camera just blew me away. Its the size of a point and shoot but with all the functions of a DSLR. I am new to photography, and this camera is teaching me so many things. I have no regrets buying this camera.

I've gone through many DSLRs, video cameras and mirrorless cameras such as this one. I've read so many reviews, watched so many Youtube videos and tested out so many cameras. All in search of the one that's right for me. Well this one was it. I will say not having a touch screen is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise it would have 5. It's lightweight, reacts fast and takes great video & photos. A non Sony microphone option would be great but not a deal breaker. Love this camera.

This camera has some very macho specifications that actually work. It makes it easy to use in any situation. Fast acquisition with the 16-50 lens, small size, ergonomic viewer and smoking fast, variable shooting speeds make this camera my go to beauty. With just a small amount of thought about composition, the images are really great. I'm done searching for the next camera, at least for a while.

i shoot canon full frame but really wanted a smaller camera with plenty of manual custom capability. This camera is exactly what i needed. super autofocus and mirrorless speed. i was sold. i dont shoot much at night with this camera so I'm not sure about low light noise but this produces astounding images in daylight or well lit areas. on a side note I can even use my canon lenses on it with the Photodiox adapter i purchased for only 99. bucks. Don't hesiate if you're trying to decide. It's well worth it!!

Bought this to replace my Canon Digital Rebel for use on excursions, sightseeing trips, etc. The Canon was a great camera but the body and lenses were bulky and cumbersome to travel with. The Sony traveled well and i bought the zoom lens also. All could fit in my small cross body purse. The pictures were fabulous - the automated settings made taking photos so easy - no need to worry about lighting or action shots! Downloaded the pics to my phone via its own wifi hotspot. Love it!

This camera is beyond what my expectations were in terms of a DSLR camera. I didn't want to spend $1000 but I definitely wanted a nice camera to start getting into photography. I spent $650 but I also got a lens with it that allows me to take long range photos. They look amazing! It's also a very portable device which is my favorite thing about this camera. Definitely 10/10

This is a second replacement for a camera i love. I use it for sports mostly. Easy and lightweight. Love it. The first one lasted 5 years and 375k shutter clicks.

A6000 is great travel camera. Quality photo, easy setting controls and light weight. It's well worth it!!

I was going to pay a photographer $300 to just come to our house and take pics of our boys, so instead I invested in purchasing this camera and I do not regret it. I've been complimented quite a bit on how great the pics I post of our boys come out. Check them out yourself.

I decided to trade in my Nikon D5100 for something more compact and portable that still has all the capabilities, bells and features as my Nikon. This is where Sony A6000 came into the picture. The quality of the camera is awesome. Images are outstanding and auto-focus is the fastest of any mirrorless camera I have ever used. Very near DSLR speed. This is my carry everywhere camera.Highly recommended camera.

My wife bought this mirrorless camera to replace her older (but still quite nice) Nikon D80 DSLR. This camera is much smaller than the Nikon and therefore easier to throw into a pocket or purse and take with you. The photo quality is really fantastic: at least as good as her Nikon. And there are tons of features for the amateur (or maybe even pro) photographer to tweak to their heart's content. This camera also allows you to swap out lenses, which affords even more flexibility and customizability. We've even been told (but have not yet investigated) that we can get a Sony adapter to allow my wife to use some of her Nikon lenses with her Alpha a6000. Pretty cool. The only issue we've run into so far is there are a few things about the a6000 (like the built-in auto-focus feature) which operate in a manner very different from the Nikon. The net-effect is that there was a considerable learning curve when making the shift to the a6000. We bought this new camera right before a trip abroad, and my wife even spent a couple of mornings reading reviews and tutorials about the camera's various features before we headed overseas. Nevertheless, the first few days of our trip were captured in blurry (or otherwise sub-par) photos, just because my wife was still struggling to figure out the a6000. So, all I would say is, make sure you allow yourself enough time to really learn this camera before you really need to use it (i.e.: don't buy it the day before you have to photograph your best friend's wedding). But it really is a great little camera and worth the price.

My wife has severe arthritis, and this camera works for her. You can see what your shooting through the view finder, the camera is easy to hold and light, it takes pictures rapidly, quality of photos is very good. This is a camera that enables you to take really excellent pictures without being a camera wiz or computer guru. And you can learn and improve how to take better pictures as you get used to the camera and discover its capabilities

I recently purchased this camera, in black, and it did not disappoint. It takes amazing photos. The quality is so clear and the focus is perfection. The time it takes to take a photo is literally seconds. It has helped me capture amazing night scenes, action scenes, profiles, day to day photos, and more. Not to mention the photos (with the help of an app) download straight to your phone in literally minutes. This camera is a must!!

I've purchased Sonys in the past for my cameras, although my last camera was a Canon, because I thought Sony was lacking in the DSLR department. Although, with their new mirrorless DSLR cameras, I get the same quality work with half the weight. With other cameras, they're bulky and can be a burden to carry around all the time. With this camera, it's light enough so I can take pictures everywhere I go! Best camera I've bought so far!

I have been a long time user of DSLR cameras but the bulk and weight was not idea for family trips and short outings. This Sony really has it all. Great quality, fast shooting to capture those once in a lifetime moments and HD video for a great all around camera in a compact size.

awesome little mirrorless. super fast, clear and vibrant images, light and compact. purchased as an open-box item. came in excellent condition as advertised; came with all oe, however, the battery was not oe...the battery provided was a "Power 2000" aftermarket battery. make sure you check the battery if you're purchasing an open-box unit.

You want automation, manual, quick selection. This is the camera for you. Universally the best camera I have used. I just review some of the images and the final output is much better than my Canon DSLR. The only reason its not a 5 star......battery. Heavy use will result in a recharge during the day.

I was looking for a good camera that would be a great first DSLR camera to begin my photography hobby. A friend of mine recommended this camera to me and it makes taking great looking photos easy. It is much lighter the a standard DSLR camera. I like the wifi for it as well as it is easy to transfer the photos directly to my computer.
