I purchased the Sony Alpha a6300 to assist with my Canon Rebel while doing photos for my photography business that I do on the side for family and friends, I liked it so much that I use it more than the Canon .. it's so easy to use and has so many features that make the shots I take crisp and clear, the way I like them to be, plus it has video with 4k quality.. what can say, great camera.

Controls can be a bit complicated initially, but incredible photos/video in a compact size.

I tested mirrorless cameras including the Nikon 1 J5;, Sony A6300, and the Canon m3. I've been a long time fan of Canon DSLR's like my 60d - at first the Nikon won me over until I got the Sony A6300. The Sony's EVF and realtime lcd display that adusts the image to the settings before you shoot was fantastic. Sony needs to step up with more long range lens's - but the G series and Zeiss lenses are outstanding.

My Nikon DSLR died so I started looking into mirrorless cameras. Sony appeared to be the leader. For digital photography, mirrorless makes sense. The digital viewfinder is excellent. All the settings that are given in the display are in the viewfinder. The camera is fast and takes excellent pictures. I also bought the 70-300 G lens. Excellent combo. I've taken great shots of birds in flight.

Feature rich, light to carry around, and excellent results. Be sure to calibrate the settings to suit your style. There are excellent YouTube videos on how to use the camera and its settings. This more than makes up for the minimal packaged instructions. I recommend the Sony 18-70 Zeiss lens and perhaps the wide angle 10-18mm. I bought the zoom which was a mistake as it could have waited until later.

This is a very nice camera. Very easy to operate and images are very sharp.

Really happy with this camera. I bought it for high quality video capture, and chose this specific model for the photographic quality and camera feel. Having a camera that feels natural in your hands makes a big difference and this camera was it for me. I have done a number of professional and personal projects on this camera with no disappointments. The only thing I have had to look out for is the accuracy on the LCD screen- it does not show light as bright as it is on your footage. Also I would look into getting a zoom with the camera from the get go- the standard lens it comes with doesn't have much range.

It is easy to use and light and small enough to take on trips with limited baggage.

Easy to use, good design, a bit heavy but takes really great pictures

I haven't really had much of a chance to use my camera. Just messing around around the house and taking pictures off my balcony. So far I am very impressed ith the quality of the pictures. I have been also trying to figure out how to use the camera so that I can get the best pictures I can. Just what little bit I have done with the camera I am positive that I made the ight choice.

I am an amateur photographer. I purchased this camera to take sports pictures of my kids. The compact body and high quality pictures is what I was drawn to the mirrorless camera for. Sony was the only brand that was carried in mirrorless at the store I went to. Great camera with too many features for my knowledge but hope to grow into it. However I did end up returning this camera for the Sony a6500. Pretty much same camera with a couple of features that I wanted. I liked the touch screen and the built in image stabilization with the newer model, although there was a hefty price difference.

Finally decided to go for it after weeks of extensive comparative research. Now, after one month of usage, I'm happy to share that its quality goes above expectation. Operating may take some getting use to, but I found it pretty intuitive over all. In addition to its variety of AF modes, what I like the most is its EVF that I can preview the exact shot before triggering.

Got this camera to shoot video in 4K and 1080 @ 120fps. The autofocus is really good. The battery life could be better but still a great camera.
