Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the camera's quality, ease of use, and compact size and weight, making it a convenient option. The camera's 4K capabilities, low light performance, and fast autofocus are also well-received. However, customers are negative about the battery life and overheating issues, especially when shooting video, and some find the menu system difficult to navigate and would like a touch screen.

    Great travel camera!

I bought this as a travel camera because of the size and the specs. In a perfect world the controls would be a bit easier to operate but I think it’s just because I’m used to canon. I used this on my trip to New Orleans and I was able to throw it in a jacket pocket or clip it to my belt and when I wasn’t using it. The size and weight is perfect for travel but not for an everyday camera (in my opinion). It’s a little too small to easily switch settings quickly. I knew this when buying it though. It all depends on what you are doing to be using it for though. It’s a great camera with great quality images and 4K video. I like the fast continuous shooting and the EVF.

I got a6300 as the second camera next to my Sony A7R2 and they share lens. I usually use the A7R2 to take 4K videos as the full frame sensor performs better in dark scenes and it can catch wider angle scenes. In normal light condition, a6300's video performance is quite good. The picture quality is good but I think you cannot crop much due to its 24M resolution.

I picked up an open box item with 2 week warranty but upon closer inspection, the lens had internal wear, battery drained in 20 mins, and after 3 days the lens could not be recognized by the body. In that short amount of time, I fell in love with the picture output of the RAW images. Clarity, depth, and low light superiority were superior for this price range. I immediately returned the open box item and opted to buy the camera brand new and have not regretted it at all! After about a couple of months, I'm looking to expand my lens collection (Sony OEM lenses are expensive, but alternatives could be an option for most).

I've always been a Canon fan. I've owned 2 Canon DSLRs until I got tired of carrying the heavy equipment while traveling. So I decided to get the Sony a6300 for its size and great reviews. And it is an awesome camera! Took it on a recent trip and what a difference. It's small, it takes great photos, the picture quality is fantastic and did I say it's small? You can take it anywhere with its zoom lens and it doesn't bother. Mine came with the 16-55mm zoom lens as well as the 55-200mm telephoto as a bundle. I have not had the chance to get other lenses for it yet. But highly recommend this camera.

I got this camera months ago for my business. I own a makeup artistry business and the camera has com in handy when taking photos or video of clients. I do need to learn how to use it more but for now it gets the job done.

Coming from a long line of Dslr's i wanted a smaller camera to take with me to take quick photos and have great qualtiy video. I bought this camera mainly to have 4k video and 1080p at 120fps for buttery smooth slow motion.

First, let me say I'm not a professional photographer. I went from pocket point and shoots to using the a6300 for pictures of my family. If you read the reviews on this camera they're accurate. It has very fast focus and shutter speed. Picture quality is top notch. 4K video is stunning! I considered a DSLR but this camera easily rivals them. My only complaint is the menus are a little clumsy.

I am a beginner and still learning. I am a fan of the a6300 and rate it 5 stars. I enjoy the size and ease of use. I particularly enjoy the wifi capabilities to take self family photos and to tranfer images. I rated this 4 stars because, personally, I am not a huge fan of the 16-50mm lense this comes with. I have since upgraded to the 18-135mm. The 16-50mm is good if you are worried about overall size and bulkiness. But i feel it has lower image quality than my other lenses. The 18-135mm is much much bigger/bulkier but takes better pictures and is more versatile. Its going to depend on your needs and personal preference. Overall, definitely worth getting if worried about size/portability.

This is the first camera I have ever bought so I can really base it off anything, I read the reviews online which is one of the main reasons I decided to go w/ Sony & mirrorless. But I use this photo for comic cons and family events, and here are my pros & cons so far... Pros: -light & compact compared to DSLRs -quick autofocus -wifi sharing of pics to phone or computer -silent shooting -4k recording Cons: -Battery drainage (I have since bought a spare) -no touchscreen LCD -LCD is not as mobile as other cameras, can only move out up & down, you cannot flip for selfies I am happy w/ my purchase.

Purchased around the black friday shopping season with an assortment of included accessories. Have had zero issues with the camera, just a learning curve is to be had in the menus of the camera.

This is one of the best camera out there and picture quality was outstanding. I had the a5000 before but this one out beats the previous version. It is easy to carry but the price tag was high.

I purchased the a6300 for a trip to Italy so I would not have to hall my SLR around. This camera was perfect. I shot almost 700 pictures and every one of them turned out beautifully. The auto focus was spot on, the auto stabilization during video worked well. I was aware that this camera can overheat if you attempt video recording for more than 30 minutes or so but I had no issues shooting shorter clips. I would attach a sample picture but they are too large.

My friend who is a professional photographer recommended this camera for multiple reasons. It is very easy to use and super easy to connect to phone or computer to transfer photos. Never have to edit anything because the pictures come out so clear. Starting to learn about all the crazy lens attachments, but so far it has been awesome. Going traveling in a couple months and cant wait to use this instead of my iphone :)
