Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the camera's quality, ease of use, and compact size and weight, making it a convenient option. The camera's 4K capabilities, low light performance, and fast autofocus are also well-received. However, customers are negative about the battery life and overheating issues, especially when shooting video, and some find the menu system difficult to navigate and would like a touch screen.

Light; compact and 4K
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera was bought as a backup camera. My main is A7Rii. This is a light and compact camera and it fits nicely in my Peak Design Backpack along with my A7Rii.

Great Camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have a Mark III and this is so much lighter and easier to carry around to events or even hiking. Highly recommended for DSLR users. Plus the wifi is awesome!

Great camera for a beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first mirrorless camera but I absolutely love it. It’s lighter than DSLRs like Nikon, and probably does the same work as those. I believe it depends on the lens that you take with the camera that helps a lot and has good enough pixels to take a RAW image and edit it and then blow it up as big as 24x 36 poster and it’s not grained. I use it all the time and is easy to work with. It is a great entry or even mid level camera for both beginners to advanced stages. If you are looking to take pictures , light camera, or just for fun, this is a great pick.

Big Upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I went in looking at an Olympus, but the Sony just felt so much better in the hand! The image quality is awesome, and weather resistance is definitely a plus for the area. The only issue I've had is AF-C seems to hunt a bit. Overall this has been a fantastic purchase!

Nearly effortless
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love that the a6300 is smaller and lightweight. When I abandoned film I went to a pocket camera...seemingly able to capture mostly everything. Then I noticed new technology offered crisper images and since I design cards using my photos, I wanted to progress into the new era of cameras. I have a feeling mirrorless will one day be the norm...abandoning the heavy and bulky DSLR's.

Great camera for anyone.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My former camera is a Sony A series, so I am some what familiar with their menu system. The A6300 is more extensive, and there are lots of options for customization, which really needs doing to make the camera more responsive. Had some over heating issues with stills ( have not used video ) which was a bit disconcerting. Maybe user error of some sort? Trying different settings to clear this problem. No issues since. I do absolutely love this camera! Using the kit lenses along with my "A" lenses, and the photos are very sharp with great colors. Very little post processing. Highly recommended!

Great upgrade to a6000
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This iteration of Sony's NEX camera line is everything you can expect from the very popular a6000, and adds a bunch of rich features like silent shutter, and 4k video. I wish it had in body stabilization especially for manual lenses, but a lot of the aps-c lenses that go well with this camera have some sort of stabilization. It's small a d it's quick. Great camera.

Has Sony created a DSLR replacement?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was wondering if compact mirrorless cameras have evolved to where you could dump the big DSLR. In the past, the mirrorless cameras have been a step behind the mid level DSLRs and with the a6300 they have shown that the technology has finally arrived. The low light performance is probably better than most DSLRs and the focusing is better than almost anything on the market. I would however opt out of the kit lens and go buy a better lens. The one downfall of this camera is that it is missing a touchscreen and the controls seem primitive compare to the capabilities.

4k is amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The iso is nightvision on this camera and if you shoot 4k. What is noise? I dont see any. If you playback on 4k monitor the noise is so minor i actually like the style look the noise gives. Mini cinema cam i can carry around my neck everywhere. Oh and pictures are great too

Great for travel!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a few DSLR cameras that I love but I was looking for something smaller with great quality for a long trip. This camera is a perfect size and has great quality. I was so impressed with the photos I was able to take even with just the kit lens. I would recommend this camera to beginners, experienced, and professional.

Very good camera for beginner and professional.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to use (except the menu actually) for capturing photos and recording stunning 1080p footage. Though does not offer 4K. Image is excellent, specially when pair with good lens like Zeiss or G-master. Does not offer in-body stabilization, so mostly i would need a tripod or post video editing to limit out the camera shake.

Excellent camera!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a camera that would take great action shots and easy to use and the Sony has been great. I’ve taken action shots for volleyball and water tubing and the pictures are amazing! Crystal clear! I also used the 55-210mm lens that came as a package with the camera for most of these shots.

Awesome camera for the price!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from Canon to Sony (for video) was a great move, this camera performs amazing even with the kit lens. The video quality out of this camera is great! There is one issue with this camera (which it is in the manual) that the camera might overheat. It seem to do it mainly when you are shooting 4K for a while, I am in Florida so for me shooting 4K for about 10min (outside in the heat) will cause the overheat. If you research this online you will find some solutions, but you should do that before buying this camera.

Great starting point for mirrorless photography
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a Sony A 100 & a Sony A 77 and purchased the Sony A 6300 as a small camera I could tote around when I didn't want to carry the larger ones. I'm impressed with its build and firm feel. I may end up using this camera more than I had planned. The camera provides great photos using the Auto or Scene modes, while also having plenty of features for manual control. The camera features a 24 mp output putting it well above the entry level camera. The big differences between the Sony A 6000 and A 6300 are the vastly improved focusing system, and the 4K video of the 6300. Finally, for my use, I have quite a collection of A mount lenses for my other Sony cameras. While the 6300 uses the E mount structure, the optional Sony A to E mount lens will allow me (when I can afford it) to utilize my current lens rather than starting over again.
