    not buying an open box item from Best buy again. did not even had decency to clean the camera. it was all grimy and dirty. that reason alone is a no no for future purchases. Even the store associates were not bothered by this service.

    If this SONY full-frame model is still for sale, don't bother with it. There are newer and better models out there to buy, with more advanced features. This one will disappoint. I replaced it with an Alpha a7 III within a month.

    Nightmare experience DO NOT BUY

    Purchase of this camera was an entire nightmare! I would never recommend purchasing a camera online ever. It almost ruined my sons Christmas. It came stating excellent condition and like new. Not only was the box in bad shape, the camera had what looked like make up all over it, most of the manual was missing and dis shoveled, cords were missing. By the time i reed it because I was not home when UPS came I opened it and could not find another. I ended having to spend $400 more which was a hardship at Christmas. The best buy customer service told me 3X the store had 1-2 in stock. I was in the store within 10 minutes of their call leaving family at a Christmas and the store said they had to had one in over 6 months. The store employee was so informative and trying to help it was not his fault that BEST BUY customer service and corporate was SO awful!!!

    Tough, agile, and well worth the cost!

    Awesome camera, sturdy and well-built, easy to learn yet a lot of features to explore. I use this camera mostly with an adapter and legacy lenses for gorgeous photos with stunning bokeh. Manual focus is the way to go (unless doing action shots). I do mostly "artsy" or product photography. Even dropped the camera once on concrete and the lens bent, but camera was unscathed. Well worth the money!

    Quite a step up

    So I recently decided to step-up my photography. After doing much research on various blogs, web-searches, youtube videos I landed on the Sony A7ii as my ideal camera. It's smallish footprint and full-frame capability seemed as if it would be everything I am looking for. I was using a Canon T3i for about 2 years. That series of cameras is a perfect line for the beginner, entry-level user. I learned a lot using the crop sensor and lenses. But now its on to the big time! The Sony A7ii is amazing. I noticed the difference as soon as I heard the first shutter click. It's fast, a little loud, lightweight and takes amazing pictures. I'm still in "learning mode" with all of the various features the Sony A7ii has to offer. But after 3 weekends of shooting, I know that I made the right choice. I can't wait to get out and capture my daughter's life and the world around her.

    Great Camera ... Poor Geek Squad Warranty

    Love the camera but not the $300 Geek Squad Warranty! Second email sent to BestBuyLeaders: BestBuyLeaders, I was on a Chat this morning to determine the status of the attached email. Was it received? When can I expect a response. I was referred to 1-888-237-8289 … they put me in contact with the local Corona Geek Squad … their response was as expected, “ They could do NOTHING and that 'Precision Camera' has the final word on an exchange and/or replacement" Another waste of my time in an attempt to get this issue resolved/addressed. Original email sent to BestBuyLeaders: BestBuyLeaders, I’ve had my Sony A7II in for service 3 time, the camera intermittently fails to focus properly ... and each time your service provider “Precision Camera” only response is that they Cleaned, Calibrated and checked the Software Release. When I take the camera out and shoot a couple thousand PICs I find that the camera continues to intermittently not focus properly. I shoot with both manual and auto focus lenses. I take multiple HDR, Focus Stacking and Panoramic PICs. If one of the numerous PICs I take are out-of-focus the merging, stacking and/or stitching of photos fail to provide the expected results. I shoot a Sony RX100V, Sony A7II (in for repair 3 times) and a Nikon D850. I am retired and have been an avid photographer for 15 years. I know when a camera is not performing as expected/advertised etc. My local Geek Squad state that “Precision Camera” has the last word and an exchange or replacement is out of their hands. I don’t like spending $300 for a 3 Year Warranty or $300Warranty/$1700Camera=18% of the Purchase Price and finding that the Warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. I plan on taking a 9 month trip this summer, starting April 1st, to Canada and Alaska … I need a camera I can depend on. Your assistance in resolving this issue is appreciated. I’ve attached my recent Geek Squad Chat and included the Service Order Numbers in the Subject Line.

    I really have enjoyed this camera, and while your phone is the more convenient photo method - every time I see the photos I've captured with this camera, they have so much more detail and really take in the special moments. I plan to keep using this for years to come.

    Like I said on my previous review of the Sony A7. While other camera manufactures are busy sleeping. Sony is hard at work perfecting this hidden gem that will make any die heart fan boy see the light. "Literally without any hidden mirrors" lol. I just love this camera and all its technology. As a photographer it makes my life so much easier.

    I switched from canon to Sony mirrorless and love it. I am currently using my collection of vintage mf Minolta lens which I am enjoying on this mirrorless system.

    Good steady shot gives you about 2 additional steps of exposure. I've hand held in a dark room at 1/5sec and the picture was still sharp!

    Sony camera dos not work with new Apple computers.

    Think twice about buying a Sony digital camera. The firmware is not compatible with the Mac’s new operating system or any 64 byte architecture. I have a new Sony digital mirrorless camera and use my 10 year old Mac to process images because it will not work with the new Big Sur operating system on current Apple computers. I called to find out when they will be updating their camera software. Their response was, “We don’t know”.
