I had to buy a replacement model since my shutter mechanism failed on my first one. While some would see that as a drag, it happens. As far as the camera performance for video, photo, usability, customization, features goe...I love this camera. It hits every point I need and is being used as a pro/amateur /hobbyist camera.

This camera is a god send. this is my second Sony camera purchase and I will never go back to canon! This camera is for the people who actually know what they're doing and don't mind playing around with settings while editing to get what you need! Has definitely outperformed my other cameras forsure!

Love this camera. I wanted a full-frame camera and snatched this up when it went on sale (about $1,000). Is a great starter - professional camera. I upgraded from an A6000. Big difference! Easy to use and learn. Love mirrorless cameras.

Can't believe I waited so long to get this camera. It has amazing capabilities and it's very user friendly for a journeyman photographer! The Emount system allowed me to use older lenses on the camera and the new lenses that came in the kit was also stellar. I will be saving for telephoto and adding to thr arsenal soon! Love my Sony

I am getting used to the camera as i have moved from film to digital to MIRRORLESS. i have several issues for mirrorless at this time, one of which is the lack of a wide variety of lenses, and probably more importantly, a variety of lenses with a reasonable cost. a good/great 2.8f 70-200 lens in a generic brand may cost up to 1300 or so, and the mirrorless will cost almost twice that. once you find generic flash units, batteries or other items needed for the camera, i HAVE NO COMPLAINTS, BUT ONE. WHEN STARTING THE CAMERA THERE IS A DELAY WHICH IS LONGER THAN ALL MY PREVIOUS DIGITAL CAMERAS. if you can get a sony full frame body for about 600 dollars, buy it... my next purchase will be the a7RII when the next model arrives and drops this bodies price a bit. right now it is between 1400 and 2000 dollars. most of the features are the same from camera to camera brand. what you get with these sony cameras is smaller and no issues that i am aware of just yet.. give me time and lets see how they work when the flowers and spring comes along...

I am a beginner with photography and I really love the high quality images this camera takes. Compared to DSLR, it is light weight and quick at taking pictures. With regards to ease of use, I feel it takes a while to understand and adjust the options

I like the still images, easy to use and have good pricing. Nice travel camera if you don't want to risk $4,000 camera on the streets

I recently upgraded from a Canon Rebel to a Sony A7ii and it was the greatest decision to step up my photography game. The colors captured from this full frame sensor are superb, it is extremely quiet and the kit lens is decent yet lacks sharpness in certain areas as most kit lens typically do. If you get the Sony a7ii, get the 35mm or 55mm FE prime lens. They are much sharper and more enjoyable to play around with. The 5-axis image stabilization helps with freelancing, but I still recommend investing in a manfrotto tripod. I wouldn't recommend this camera to beginners, because it does require time and practice to use it properly.

excellent camera...full frame cameras packed with extra features...with half the weight of the full size full frame camera...can download app (motion blur, time lapse, hdr dynamic range, light panting) to do photo editing without the use of a pc

Great camera! Easy to , light weight to carry around on hikes. Was considering the Nikon 750 and was talks into this camera. Huge difference in weight! Takes great pictures and was able to use my Canon E frames with a convertor....not digital...but keeps me thinking!

I am not at all an expert photographer, and even had to watch a few videos to fully understand the menu. But this is a good camera. The quality of the pictures is really good. Im even able to get a decent picture in low lighting.

I’ve never owned a camera before and honestly had no idea what to keep an eye out for when looking to buy. After researching, asking for advice, considering my budget, and seeing what other people I knew used, I ended up choosing this one. So far I love it and although I’m still learning new things about it every day I have already got some pretty cool shots with it! The only thing that was slightly annoying was that I was under the impression that it was never opened and taken out of the box but when I got it and opened it there were finger print smudges all over the screen. At the end of the day it shouldn’t be a big deal but it was a tad annoying to discover since open box discounts are also a thing, which I did not get since I chose the unopened option and expected it to come like that. That’s why I gave it 4/5

I'm a beginner and i used the camera for my family and pets. photo and video quality were wonderful. the compatibility with connecting to my phone and laptop was very easy to use. The comparability of using other lenses is great.

I switched from the Canon 6d, sold all of my Canon lenses and committed to Sony mirrorless. There are some major differences between the two formats. But this is by far better than my Canon experiences. Faster Smarter and Stronger. Everything about the camera is awesome except the battery life. I am very satisfied and I haven't looked back.

Really happy with my purchase. This camera has so much to offer with the high end specs. It also comes at a reasonable price for a full frame camera. Low light pictures are crisp and great. I recommend this camera for anyone who is starting out.

Excellent camera for someone who wants to go pro. Don’t be intimidated by the missing 4K feature. This camera records and shoots like a beast.

great for traveling. it's still light enough to wear around your neck all day, with the lens of course. And the quality/resolution of the picture you get is day and night, compared to the phone.
