The Sony menu system is confusing. The ring selection button didn't work correctly. While in the menu, I would press right and the selection would go left. Up, down and left didn't work. If pressed up or left the camera would exit the menu. Or if I pressed menu it would change the ISO settings. The auto-focus didn't work either. The camera auto-focus box or focus points would go into the far upper left corner and wouldn't move. The battery life was horrible. After only being in the menu a few minutes and taking only 20 pics the battery was down to 60 percent. I exchanged the A7 alpha ii for the A7R alpha ii and the camera had the same menu problems and ran out of battery even faster. The A7R also had a overheating problem after only 30 pics and 45 minutes of use. I could feel heat radiating from the camera. I wasn't able to set the focus area on either camera. They both suffered from hunting for a subject. I would not recommend this camera to anyone who is using it professionally.
