    Perfect cheap full frame

    I love how this small camera can come anywhere with me. I’m usually a Nikon guy, but wanted to try out a Sony and for the price of under $1,000 I couldn’t say no. Kit lens is pretty good for a kit lens.

    Had no idea how much cameras have advanced since my last camera purchase. This is a beautiful camera no doubt but way more than I had bargained for in terms of all the programming and options. I returned it within 48 hours, never actually used it. Best buy charged me $ 150.00 to return it. They do mention a 10% restocking fee, buried deep in the fine print. I will take my business elsewhere from now on. Could have bought and returned it on the internet with no restocking fee, I checked after it was to late of course.

      Hello BostonBill725, sorry to hear the a7 II didn't fit your needs, if you decide to use one of our camera in the future, they all come with an "Auto" mode that will provide a point and shoot experience even on more complex cameras such as the a7 II. Sony_US

    This camera is a bad product, since its main sensitivity and handling problem, since I bought it I only used it two or three times and I have been getting an error of turning it off and on focus problem, I went to the store and they tell me that it is the sensor and that why it has been a long time since I bought it does not cover warranty, I do not advise them to buy this brand.

    Great first full frame mirrorless

    I love my A7 ll camera. It's my first mirrorless camera but I'm really liking all the cool features, even if it can be a little overwhelming learning all of the menus. 5 stars. However, It will take me a while to get the bad taste out of my mouth when I use it because of the way I was treated by the store manager at the Pasadena store. I purchased an open box camera that clearly stated that all the accessories were in the box. Upon inspection, none of the accessories were in the box. I asked for a further markdown, which the salesperson said is customarily 5-10 %. That would cover the missing accessories so I was okay with that. When the salesperson came back, he said the manager was only wiling to reduce the price an additional $20. Plus I could get the great additional discount of 25% off three accessories. I told them I didn't need 3 accessories, just the missing Sony charger. As an aside, all of the accessories are priced significantly higher in the store vs. Bestbuy's own website so, you're not getting a discount at all. ( example: Sony battery-$79.99 in store, $51.99 on their website; battery charger-$49.99 in store, $39.99 on website. So, back to my long winded story. I ask for the store manager and explain that i just want the discount to reflect the missing pieces, since the basis for the original discounted price included the accessories. The label also states that there were some scratches. He examines the camera and doesn't see any scratches, so he tells me if I don't buy the camera now he's going to reprice it higher, so buy it now or lose out. I frankly didn't see any scratches at the time either, so I say fine I'll take the camera with the $20 discount for the missing accesories and be on my way. He tells me he's not going to honor that offer anymore and I have to buy the charger and he'll take the $20 off the charger instead. Well, guess what? The charger is $10 cheaper on their own website, so now my deal is really only $10 off and I was forced to buy a charger to get it. I still bought the camera, but was mildly irritated with the whole interaction. I was basically made to feel like he was doing me a favor by "letting" me have it at the price that was already marked. Well, I get it home and it turns out it is scratched and it's not just cosmetic. After cleaning the monitor the were a few small scratches, so it was discounted properly after all. So I went back to Bestbuy today, not to complain, but to buy a case for the camera. I just happened to bump into the store manager and tell him BTW the camera was scratched after all. His response was that I still got a good deal and that the offer of 25% three accessories still stands. Wow, really! Thanks for the generous offer that is availible to ANYONE who shops at Bestbuy on your overpriced accesories. And that's competing with their own website. Don't even get me started on "real world" prices that can be found on the internet. He could've just let me have the camera for the original deal of $20 off the camera (a whopping additional discount of 1.5%) and I wouldn't be writing this. Instead, i got my arm twisted into buying a charger I could've easily found cheaper online. So my effective discount ended up being zero. Now, I'm completely ticked off and will never be shopping at Bestbuy again. I'm not sure if they've noticed, but are other choices out there to shop. Never shopping there again. NEVER AGAIN.

    This camera has great images. Everything works perfect. Easy to use there only a few things that I’d like to change …there more preferences or user preferences that I like like I need a external battery charger and an extra battery. Next I would I need to upgrade the lens because I take this camera to the baseball games here where I live. and I cannot get good images from long-distance with the set up. with what I have right now I need to get a better lens to get those long or four areas of a stadium more. I need a better lens for what I need.

    This does not comes with a battery charger and long range lens, when I return this item they charged me $150 for restoration fees

    Last time I buy something from Best Buy like this! Should have gone to Amazon because of the restocking fee! Never ever again I’ll make a large purchase like this one at Best Buy.

    I bought an open box. The camera overheats and has black dots in the viewfinder. Best buy does not respond by guarantee after 15 days. Now I must take charge of communicating with the distributor so that someone takes responsibility.

    Best buy didn't deliver well on this product. Trust Beatbuy with lower priced things especially if critical to your business.

    I usually buy canon cameras this my friend time buying a Sony wasn’t really satisfy with it I think I’ll stick with canon

    Sony excellence

    I purchased this as an upgrade to my a6100, which I adore. Although this rig is slightly heavier than my previous camera and doesn't have a built-in flash, it has significantly leveled up my photography. With the E-Mount lens system, my glass investment is still put to good use. I'm far from a pro, but because I transitioned from another Sony camera, the controls are easy.

    Only game in town for old glass

    Sony a7II, This is a great camera for those of us that have a old collection of Canon FD / FL manual focus lenses laying around. I used it with a third party adapter and it has renewed my interest in photography. The”in camera” image stabilization works well with the old lenses and the assignable menu buttons make this camera fun to work with. I understand that movie recording works well with the a7II however I’m just enjoying using it for stills for now. As for other reviews about bad battery life, those reviewers are too young or don’t remember what it was like to change a roll of 35mm film. The bottom line is if you have old glass this is a great choice however if your just starting out you would be better off with another brand due to the limited Sony lenses and their costs.
