    Great great camera only thing that sucks is that it doesn't have a flash but it was not bad enough to drop a star cause you can always just purchas one if you couldn't put a flash that's a different story

    Slow autofocus

    Slow auto focus with certain lens but on some other lens the focusing works well.

    Sony customer service is the worse

    First off i have no complaints about the actual camera. but when i first purchase the camera i had a issue of when i remove the lens and put it back on the f-stop would disappear. Which would not allow you to use the camera. Contacted Sony and they told me to ship in to there repair place. I was in New York at the time when the camera when completely out and would make a connection to the lens and the repair place was there. Left it with them and they finally contacted me 2 weeks later, due to Sony would not contact them. When they did they said the part is no longer available. Now this is a camera that hasn't even been out a year. The new part is on back order for another 5-6 weeks. So I called Sony and explain the situation. and they said they will call me in a week to discuss my situation. A week to talk about it not make a move about fixing. After countless calls to them they finally called me a few days later. Then they asked for a copy of the receipt to be emailed to them, then they will review and contact me in a few days. Just more and more time wasted. And when i asked the company that repairs the camera if the is a random problem with Sony they said NO. They never have parts available and they will send email after email to Sony has well and never get responses. Sony has the worse customer support and would never buy another Sony product. After selling all of my Nikon camera gear to switch to Sony I will now be switching back.... Then they called and said if i want a refund they can do so and i would receive a check in about 2 months. So i had to cancel all of my scheduled shoots because of this.

    Sony A7 MK2

    Bought this to replace an A900 that broke. Completely pleased with it. Purchased two lens adapters so now I can use all of my old Minolta SR mount and A mount lenses too. How great is that! By the way, the price of the camera, brand new was only about $100 more than a used one.

    Absolutely terrible

    I'm not sure how this camera has so many good reviews or maybe I'm just the unlucky one but I bought this camera just 2 days ago and patiently waited for it to come in the mail. Once it got here today I followed the directions to a "T" plugged it in let it charge the whole way placed it upside down so dirt and debree doesn't enter it while putting the lens on, lined up the dot..literally everything. I get my camera on after the battery finished charging and wouldn't you know it keeps popping up an error message "camera error. Turn power off then on." So I did as it said. Over and over again..then removed battery 4 or 5 times turning it back on each time to receive the same message. It takes about 15 seconds or so for the message to show up but it inevitably does. When in settings the camera kicks me out of settings or whatever it is I am doing in the camera, setting iso etc. This is so very annoying considering I use this for my business. Sony will not be receiving anymore business from me. I looked more into this problem with the A7ii and it is an extremely common problem anyone who has had the camera past the warranty period is having. So your money and buy yourself a nikon.

    Problematic Camera

    Have had nothing but problems with the camera since I bought it. It keeps getting dust on the sensor and leaving marks on the images. I have spent more time cleaning it then actually taking pictures. Also have problems with distortion from the kit lens. Even sent it to Sony for repair and they didn't fix the problem. Would advise anyone thinking of buying one to stick with Nikon, much better quality camera for the money.

      Hello RonG, sorry to hear about your experience. To avoid dust getting into the camera body, change your lens with the camera body facing downward, you can also initiate the cleaning mode with no lens attached and camera facing down.
      The distortion is due to the lens characteristics, you can use a different lens with a more controlled distortion but also activate the distortion compensation on your camera that will help (Menu > Custom Settings > Lens Comp. > Distortion Comp.) Sony_US
