One, our smart phones are great, but they have limits that a camera like this does not have. Two, it gives us an opportunity to develop a hobby.

This camera does a great job and is much smaller. Lenses seem to be a bit more expensive and less choices for focal length and manufacturers but that will change with time.

Glad I did. It has been decades since I have done photos besides cell phone and I need to relearn everything.

Great entry level Sony full frame in 2022

It is a bit older at this point and does not have every feature the newer cameras have but it still takes amazing photos and let's you get into the Sony ecosystem at a great price. Buy this camera then spend a little more money on good glass you can then use on better bodies later.

Depth of field is way better. This camera has great build quality and thank goodness Sony has a great line of lens for this series.

Josh gave us great advice and pointed her in the right direction. Again, what a great camera, the first day she took almost 500 amazing photos. Also, they have a free workshop!
