Excellent camera for vlogging, travel, and more

Lovely camera; clunky software

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fun and comfortable to use, especially with the clever handle/tripod attachment from the blogger kit that you can buy with it. Pictures and videos are gorgeous - warm and sharp, and the microphone works well. The settings menus and phone/computer software seem surprisingly clunky and out-dated, so for instance downloading photos feels more complicated than it should be.

Idk if my camera is defective or that’s just a thing with this particular camera

High-quality movie recording such as 4K does require large amounts of power. Therefore, if you continue to shoot, the temperature inside the camera will rise. Things you can do to help minimize the overheating time, check to make sure your memory card is of proper speed/performance for high-quality movie recording, pulling the LCD screen away from the camera body and Set [Auto Power OFF Temp] to High will give you approx. 30 mins of recording time, depending on Ambient temperature. Great 4K Camera on a tripod, No recording Limit!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a "vlogging" camera but it is NOT a good camera for vlogging. It's just marketed as a vlogging camera. That's not why I bought it. I know how bad this camera's stabilization is so I use it on a tripod for 4K video with no crop (@24fps) You need two things in my book to be a good vlogging camera, great auto focus, which this camera has, and strong image stabilization which this camera certainly does not have. The image stabilization is really bad here. Unless you shut it off completely and then fix the mess in post with Catalyst Browse. I don't want to go to the trouble. The rolling shutter effect is also really bad. For vlogging, I use a GoPro Hero 10 and it can't be beat for simple, carefree, non technical vlogging. It has great focus, great field of view and especially fantastic stabilization. It's also cheaper than this camera by a few hundred. As a 4K stationary studio video camera, this camera is great. Clean, crisp and downsampled from 6K. The 4K is great. So, as a "vlogging" camera, (I don't care what Sony markets) It's a miss. What is great....The 4K and NO RECORDING LIMIT like most of the cameras in this price range. Great as a studio cam.
