But I thought we could power the alarm clock with just battery alone and it actually has to be plugged into a traditional power outlet. The clock can shine on a wall or you can direct it to wherever is convenient

After setting it up for my bedside, I realize the projector only works if you push a button and then it turns off. WTH! Why would Sony make a projection clock that doesn't stay on at all times? A fancy clock fail. I returned it.
