I bought two of these, one for an 11 year old and one for a 14 year old. It is the best option available for a non-iPhone based alarm clock (technology gets removed from the bedrooms at bedtime). You'll definitely need the instruction booklet to get it set up. The best feature is that it projects the time onto a wall or ceiling so you don't have to turn your head/body to see the time if you are facing away from the alarm clock.

This is a great alarm clock radio if you are looking for a simple alarm clock. Love it as it allows you to adjust the display brightness and also very compact so does not take up much room on night stand. Easy to use as well.

The Sony AM/FM Clock radio has a very small foot print that fits nicely on the nightstand. The sound is great, the ceiling clock display is a nice feature and the time is easy to see. The two issues I see are the very poor AM radio reception, even with the antenna fully extended and the buttons are not strategically place and are a bit small.

I tend to wake up throughout the night and having the time projected on the ceiling is extremely helpful. Much better than fumbling for my phone to check the time. If the projection could be increased in size and would stay on permanently, I’d give this 5 stars.

Didn’t realize I needed the time cast onto the ceiling but find I love this feature when I wake during the night since I keep the lighted screen out of visual range. It has a focus dial if your vision is not corrected while you sleep. It’s red so readable but doesn’t keep me awake. Can program two alarms so weekend can be a different time and station and unlike others, can control the volume. Radio stays on an hour. It says you can Bluetooth your own stuff, haven’t tried. Like that there are four settings, including off, for display brightness of the screen. Fairly small cube so pretty unobtrusive. The instruction guide printed and online not particularly useful.

Levels of brightness, changes time (daylight saving) automatically, takes up little space.

We have always been pleased with Sony products and assume this will be the case. The size is nice and compact for a desk. Everything was as expected with the initial use. The projection clock is pretty cool to see. It is adjustable in direction. Until college begins, I can't further evaluate.

This alarm clock has easy to read numbers and easy to find switches to turn off the alarm.

Great for putting on the night stand, doesn't take up much room and the read-out is easy to see. We love the swivel projector because if you wake up during the night you can see the time up on the ceiling - don't need to put on any glasses!

This alarm clock is great! Small footprint, aesthetically modern, easy to setup and use. The other thing I like about the clock is the soft orange/amber color of the display. Easy on the eyes.

Daughter wanted an alarm click radio that would charge her iphone4, that's in a case. Most new clock radios don't work with iPhone 4 anymore or need case removed to charge in the dock. This clock has USB port so with a charge chord you can charge an iPhone4 without removing the case!!! She loves it. We were able to program her alarm for school days only. The projector light in ceiling is cool too. It's a Sony!

We needed an alarm clock and loved the different wake up sounds rather than the harsh buzzer! We also love the projector as I don't need to ask my husband what the time is or reach over my husband to look at the time!

Unit is easy to use and program and has a battery to ensure that programming is not lost.

Shopped the store for a simple but stylish alarm clock radio. This clock radio is basic and very easy to use, looks great on the nightstand. Basic controls and has a radial tuning dial for station selection, not to easy to read but still a good product! The price was great!!!

Great Alarm clock. The time is automatically updated to your time zone and when the power goes off the alarm works via the internal battery backup. Great product at a great price.
