I have to use the radio to wake up. BTW it defaults to the alarm when there is a power outage. The other issue is it is difficult to tune in radio stations. The thumb wheel tuner is too small

We had to switch to using the built-in radio for waking up, which worked decent enough since we live on top of a hill close to a city, but I can imagine it would be a bit difficult for people in more rural areas.
