The speaker for the radio is in the back, so make sure you have a wall behind it so it can reflect the sound back to where you need to it

Also, after you set it, it doesn't "show" what time it is set for -- which is not good. My very old alarm clock that I had for years - at least when you set the alarm, it "showed" you what time it was set for. This one doesn't. It's hard to know if you have actually set it, let alone that it doesn't display the time. So I wouldn't really recommend it. All I wanted was a simple alarm clock with a radio alarm. But this is soooo basic. Two issues - confusing how to set the alarm, and worse, doesn't "show" what time you set it for - unless you do the steps again. Would not buy it again.
