It has a terrible speaker. The speaker is small and weak. I bought it to listen to the radio at night and because it had a digital tuner. This is the worst sounding clock radio I have heard in my 46 years on Earth and I had many clock radios. Several have been Sony and the best sounding one was a Sony. So when I found this Sony I thought I bet it will sound as good as the one I had from the 90's. No, this new Sony is garbage!!! Do not buy! For the love of God do not buy this. It will give you headaches. You are getting cheap Sony, CHEAP!!!

It was hard to get to the knobs and the quality of sound was much better with the other radio. I wasn't sure if this product would freeze or stop working as I had read the reviews prior to purchase. Didn't want to have to purchase another radio if this became defective.
