I gave my trusty old Sony click radio to my wife and needed a new one for myself. I searched at Best Buy.com and came upon this Sony model. It looked good in the pictures and so I went to the Manchester NH location and bought it (great store—always impressed with the associates there!). At first I thought I had made a mistake as the set up and operation seemed a bit too much. But then I realized it had a repeating alarm for every day hooray! And setting/resetting it was super easy! Even the sound was good! A fine choice for a great little clock radio!

The size is good - does not take up much space on my nightstand. The light is not super bright but the time is easily read during the night. The alarm is not loud but is enough to wake me and not my husband.

Works great. Very stylish. It has three shades of brightness. The amber LED screen does not light up a dark room like green does (red is the best). The only con is it doesn't show the date on the LED, just the time.

I like that it's has a swivel projector which makes it easy for me to get ready on the other side of the room. And it's pretty much the best Sony clock out there now that they discontinued the dream machine.

This is a neat little alarm clock. I love how you plug it up and you do not have to set the time. It is easy to set the alarms. Dual alarms make it great. Set one for the work week and set the other for days off.

Great alarm clock. Easy to set-up for weekday and weekend usage. Time projects very clearly. You can project to the ceiling or wall. The projection also includes alarm 'A' and/or alarm 'B'. I no longer have to reach over to be sure I set my alarms.....I can plainly see that they are set when I look at the projection. Radio starts off quiet and builds in volume. I set alarm 'A' to radio and alarm 'B' to buzzer. I have never heard the buzzer yet. I am very pleased with this alarm clock.

I've read in other reviews where there were all kinds of problems. My suggestion is this: Try reading the user manual and most of your problems will be solved. I have had no problems with this alarm clock and the projector is stellar. I love the fact that you can turn off or dim the clock face itself. Well made..I like the fact that the clock is heavy so when you are half awake searching for the snooze button, the clock stays in one place and doesn't move around like other lighter clocks. Cons: only 2. The "Nature Sounds" do not sound natural. More like white noise and there is a short loop of the sounds so they can be more monotonous than relaxing! The projection is a red light instead of blue. Blue lights are much better IMHO. Well worth the money.

After a fair amount of research looking for a projection clock radio, I selected this model for its appearance, crisp display and projection capability. To be honest I use iPhone as my main alarm clock and my Bose Sound Dock to listen to music. I read all of the negative reviews (tinny sound, projection turns off after 16 hours, tiny multi-function buttons, etc.) and still bought this clock radio. Although a bit pricey, I am very satisfied with my purchase.

This is a clear, noiseless excellent sounding radio with a lot of extras in a comparatively small cube. Its easy control settings are a big plus.

What kind of sorcery is this...... placing small minstrels into a tiny tiny box so my wife can enjoy music while getting ready for work....... and the numbers blaze bright with fire but are not hot.... Avert your eyes avert your eyes........ If she is caught she will burn at the stake for sure......

I brought this radio for my dog so that he wouldn't feel alone while I was at work and it works great. As soon as I plugged it in the clock automatically set to the time. It was very easy for me to find my favorite radio station. This radio fits in the corner of my kitchen and does not take up any room.

This was a replacement for an alarm clock in the master bedroom that has served me for almost 20 years. I chose this model primarily because of the ability to set a weekday alarm, weekend alarm, or 7 days a week. This clock allows me to set a time for the work week, a second for the weekend, and then not worry about turning one alarm on and the other off. This prevents the occasional oversleeping during the week and getting up far too early on weekends. Although this model has nature sounds, they are not quite as "natural" as one might wish. There may be better "nature sounds" clocks available if that is the primary reason for looking at this model. AM and FM reception is good. I occasionally listen to talk radio at night and this is a good option. This clock has a dimmer feature attached to the snooze button. There are 2 levels of brightness as well as a no display setting. This is very useful if you want to reduce the light pollution while sleeping. I normally turn off the display when sleeping and use the projector for the time. In the mornings, I just hit the snooze button a couple of times to turn the display back on the desired brightness. The brightest setting is fairly bright and while good during the day, the dimmer is appreciated at night. My only quibble is the design of the button to turn on the projector. The button is located on the side of the clock and requires a relatively firm push. It may be better placed on the top of the clock so one is pushing down on the button rather than pushing the clock across the nightstand. A small square of non-stick shelf liner under the clock mitigated this for me. The chime is rather quiet -- at least at the start -- and grows in volume as the alarm goes off. If you are a light sleeper, the gentle chime will be welcome. If you are a heavier sleeper, it may take 10 seconds or so before the increase in volume "alarms" you. One added feature I use fairly often is the USB port. I will often charge both my tablet and phone at bedside but normally not both at the same time. This gives an extra port for that. This was a bit more expensive than other clocks but feel it was a good purchase. I would have liked a model without the nature sounds for a bit less money but overall, I'm very satisfied with this.

The Sony 1CF1T doesn’t take up much real estate and the display has three brightness settings which should be fine for pretty much any situation. The directions are clear and all that is necessary to get it going is plug it in and set the time zone. The electrical cord is the antenna so it should be completely stretched out. The sound is actually pretty good for a $30 radio with a simple tuning dial and picks up stations fine in the metro area. It uses a 2023 battery for back-up - a relatively common size. All in all, a nice little clock radio.

I was tired of waking up to the annoying alarm clock sounds that would jolt me awake in seconds and did my reviewing and went with this Sony Alarm Clock Radio. I love waking up slowly to the radio or even a very less annoying buzzer sound if you so choose. Having the clock projection has also become one of my fav features, as I barely need to move my head to see the time during the night!

Nice compact size. Projects time on ceiling which is very legible in low light or darkness. Our first one like this malfunctioned after a few months. Couldn't find a better option for combo projection clock combined with AM & FM radio, so replaced malfunctioning clock/radio with identical clock/radio and sent first one off to manufacturer for repair. Manufacturer sent a check back for purchase price. Would be 5 stars except for having to return first unit,

This clock isn’t that cool. Cheap and unintuitive design will leave you trying to feel around to hit the right buttons. Even the volume dial and radio dial are seemingly difficult to feel out. Speaker is awful. the only alarm tone fades in and never really gets that loud, but it just gets loud enough. You can set up to two alarms at once and you can use the radio as an alarm. It has a timed sleep mode that you can adjust. It’s good for going to sleep listening to the radio. The quality and design just seem cheap. Buy the insignia.

This clock radio is not only easy to see at any time of the day, but also does have a radio with wonderful reception. Older clock radios are not only hard to see, their reception, even of local stations, is poor. I am very happy that I replaced my old clock radio with this one.

This is a nice clock, we bought it for the projection of time on the wall or ceiling. It turns off automatically after 16 hours this is a draw back for us. Otherwise for a clock it's a little bit pricey.

My 10+ year old alarm clock finally bit the dust, so I needed a new dual alarm. This unit works out perfectly, with a clean design, adjustable brightness, and a surprisingly effective tone that starts out very gentle and quickly escalates to something that can wake the dead without alarming the neighbors. I don't have any desire to rely on a phone alarm on a daily basis. This is so much more reliable and stress-free. Phone alarms are fine when traveling or for sporadic use, but I much prefer a dedicated alarm and an always-on clock (that doesnt drain my phone battery or burn out a $150 screen).
