We bought this for my teenager, who loved it and enjoyed all the features. After a year and a half, it just totally stopped working. Completely dead. We unplugged it and plugged it back in, and it flashed 12:00, but none of the buttons worked. It was totally unresponsive. We changed the back-up battery, but still nothing. I called Sony support, but because it’s past the warranty, they only referred me to a third party repair company, which would no doubt charge close to the $60 purchase price to repair it. I’m angry. We paid extra for what we thought was a reliable brand, but they won’t stand behind their product, or offer any replacement when an 18-month- old appliance completely ceases to function. So now I have an overpriced Sony paperweight. Radio is good , sound and visibility are good, but control indications are illegible without a flashlight. You need to remember which are which

This is a great clock, just like all the reviews say, love the reflection of the time on the ceiling so both my husband and I can see regardless on who's nightstand the clock is on. HOWEVER! after 6 mos the clock stopped working, just flashed 12:00 and no battery, even with a new battery. Per the instructions, I was to take to a "Sony dealer" when this happened. Called Best Buy, where I bought the clock, they said the good news it was still under warrenty but couldn't do anything about it, I would have to call Sony. I did, and thus began a grueling task of returning this little clock. The first call, the person could not speak english very well and I had to repeat everything several times. They agreed was under warrenty, I should send via email a scan of the receipt and they would replace. BB I must add was very helpful since I didn't have a receipt, they were able to look up and email me a receipt. great. I sent to Sony, and didn't hear anything back. A follow up call, and they said they had called me, asking for the seriel number. I had not rec'vd any calls. Find out they had the digits wrong in my number - which I had to repeat several times when I called the first time! Next, they had my email wrong, so no emails. Altho I questioned why didn't they just reply to my email I had sent! I gave them my seriel number. Days go by, no email providing me the return label they said they would send. I call again. Once again, they say they are waiting on a seriel number ( what??!!) AND they repeat the same wrong address! So now after correcting a 3rd time, I am still waiting for my return label so I can return the clock, then wait another 2-3 weeks for a new clock to be sent! No desire to deal with another Sony product after this!

I actually only use the clock for the clock and nothing else so I can't speak on the alarm or stereo. I use my iphone for my alarm and music. The clock though is gorgeous and fits right in with my décor. I get lots of compliments on it.

I would have skipped this radio if I knew that the time projector turns off after 16 hrs. I keep this clock out of reach so I can't turn off the alarm in my sleep. So it is a major annoyance that if I forget to push the projector button I have to roll out of bed to turn it on. Otherwise it looks good, takes up little space and sounds good for a clock radio. The nature sounds are pleasant. I bought it at my local BestBuy to replace a similar Homedic radio, whose projector failed after 10 years. The rest of it still worked fine.

I really wanted to keep this alarm clock. But I am returning it because: Even on the dimmest setting, the display is pretty bright for someone who is very light sensitive and likes a very dark bedroom. When my nightstand reading light is on, it's literally impossible to see the display at all. That lovely glass face completely reflects the light. The radio didn't get very good reception for me. My many-years' old alarm clock reception is fine. I wish the radio tuner was digital when trying to home in on the station for best clarity.

Very nice! Easy set up. Directions are clear. Digital tuning is nice. Looks good! Sounds good! Projection light for the time is a plus. I'm not a techno-geek, just a regular guy.

Very happy with the ease of use and dual alarm feature.. Bonus- looks great on my nightstand.

I have had this radio for over two years now, and it has functioned perfectly. The only 'con' is that is a little complicated to set or reset the alarm, but after a few tries you can do it in the dark. It meets all my needs and the projection feature is great.

It is a simple alarm clock with a clean design. I only wish the alarm didn't start out so quiet.

Simple, elegant, alarm clock. The display is excellent. It came with the backup battery and the correct time set out of the box. All I had to do was plug it in! If it had a USB charging port, then it would be perfect.

Subtle, high-pitched sound noticeable in bedroom setting. I read of others having same problem. Returned item as a result.

Radio volume decreases from 23 to 12, it will change from FM to AM at will. This is my 3rd one, and this one the projection is backwards. Will return it again, since I bought the 2 year replacement. I like the size of radio and the projection when it's not backwards. Enjoy the push buttons.

I have been searching years for a clock that I could display on ceiling and read in the middle of the night. I have horrible vision without my glasses. Other LED clocks I bought were too bright and did not like them at night. The projection feature on this alarm clock is perfect. I can actually read it in the middle of the night without glasses and my room still stays dark so I can sleep as well. I no longer wake up in the middle of the night searching for the time. I just open my eyes I can see it instantly. This helps calm me down and go back to sleep much quicker.

Nice alarm/clock/radio, especially the back-up power source. Never worry about losing power again overnight - clock/alarm will still work because of the battery back-up.

I purchased this clock radio because it has big numbers and can easily be read without my glasses.

Love the ceiling time display. Small and neat alarm with multiple features.
