I wanted a radio to listen to certain talk programs. It's perfect for that and it was easy to setup the time. It looks really nice on my nightstand too.

This replaced a previous Sony clock/radio. Thus far, we are very happy with this purchase. We trusted prior reviews of Best Buy member and that made this particular purchase quick and easy.....and met our expectations. If you looking for a basic, reliable alarm clock...this is for you.

I like a lot this clock, very easy to use and enjoy

I bought this Sony clock radio, as I needed a clock radio with AM capabilities. For 4 months, all was well -- very good sound. But then it stopped working. None of the buttons worked! I tried resetting it (unplugging & plugging back in). No luck. I contacted Sony & after doing troubleshooting with them, they concluded that it "died". Luckily the year warranty was still in force & they will be replacing it.. Sony products do not seem to last as long as other brands. I have 2 Timex clock radios in the house & they have lasted for years! Replaced this one with another Timex from Bed Bath and Beyond. Their warranty/exchange is for as long as you own the product, so as long as I have a receipt, I'm good to go! No extra warranty to buy!

I bought this alarm clock in March, but it didn't last me more than 6 months. My previous cheap featureless model lasted over 12 years! It looks great it sounds great and it dies suddenly. First, I thought it was possessed by some Poltergeist when it turned on the nature sound by itself, then it was the radio that came on, and finally it was the projection. All came alive like a freakish Halloween stunt or prank. Then, just like other reviews, I unplugged and when I plugged it back it was dead. No response. Nothing works. I came here to write a review and warn others. I learned I am not alone. There must be a really bad batch out there. It is an expensive alarm clock. No one expects this and so quickly. Deeply disappointed.

This is the perfect little radio/alarm. It's small size is perfect for a nightstand.

Very difficult to tune to the desired station. Needs to be digitally tuned to be worth the price. I bought this about a year ago, used it for 3 days and promptly put it back in the box. Sound is very average.

I bought this because of Sony's reputation and the size. Perfect cube.

When my cheap $20 alarm clock finally bit the dust after 5-6 years, I bought this Sony alarm clock in May 2016. On September 15 2016, it woke me up as usual, but I was unable to turn it off, nor turn the time projection off. I eventually unplugged it. When I plugged it back in, none of the buttons would respond. I tried everything I could think of. Once, in frustration, I banged it on my nightstand and suddenly the buttons started working. But that only lasted a few minutes before the unit froze up again. I did some internet research and found that many people are having similar problems with this clock radio. I had never spent $60 on an alarm clock before, but I liked the features and with the Sony name, I thought I'd be getting a quality product, This is NOT the case. I cannot trust this alarm clock to wake me up in the morning so I guess I'll be looking for a new one.

I love the look of this clock. We own three. None of them keep accurate time, always gaining or losing minutes. They'll keep time just fine for a month or so then start to gain time. Occasionally they'll lose minutes, but they usually go fast. Battery backup are new and fresh, but still they gain time. We're constantly resetting them. Skip this clock.

The buzzer on the alarm was not loud enough. I need a louder buzzer and for some reason this didn't do it for me. I would recommend only if you don't require a somewhat loud buzzer

Sony AM/FM, perfect and beautiful! Sound is great!

I purchased this clock as a present for my husband and he really liked it. We both enjoyed the projection time and ease awake alarm clock. However, one day it suddenly stopped working. The screen still shows the time but none of the buttons work. This makes the clock useless as we need it as an alarm clock and not just a clock. The time projection doesn't even work. I'm not sure I'm ok with purchasing another one after reading in recent reviews that this has been happening to several others. I read the reviews before I purchased this clock but didn't see any issues with the clock not working at that time. We almost always buy Sony because of the quality product they provide but not this time around!

Reception on it is pretty decent for the radio, numbers are clear to see. Would be much better for it was digital tuning instead of analog.

Always have a difficult time setting this thing - even with the confusing instructions folded out!! It’s only virtue seems to be the space saving cube design as the sound quality of the radio is poor as well. So much for the Sony brand name. I’ve gone back to my simple travel alarm to wake me since this one is just too much of a pain to bother with.

The best clock i've ever owned. Great features, and sounds to wake up to. Only downside it only lasted less than a year.

This clock works great for project the time on a ceiling or wall to make it convenient to see. I only use it at night while sleeping although I notice it is difficult to see when there is brighter light in the room.

I'm still old school and use an alarm clock and this one is perfect. No problem with the radio signal and the clock sets itself even for daylight savings time. Simple to set up your two different alarms too.
