Don't have to leave the camera sitting out to charge. Just remove the battery, place the camera back in it's case and plug this one into the wall. Also has a charge level read out which is nice to see how much longer to full charge.

good wall charger

I feel as though it makes charging the battery pack a little easier; the alternate option includes charging it via USB when inside the phone, which is also probably very feasible as well.

Sony wanted to put there system out as being cheaper than it's competitors but makes you buy a battery charger and additional batteries just to keep up. I carry this charger around and extra batteries in my bag just like an extra lens. mirrorless in general have he same problem with battery life so I'm not picking on Sony. i just wished they had changed me for the kit with the batter charger included. I would recommend this product to a friend only because they would need it since Sony didn't include it.
