I find it quite convenient to use the charger to charge a battery when the other is being used in the camera, or for evening recharging of both batteries (one at a time) instead of leaving the camera out.

Hey, it's a battery charger! Doesn't take pictures, doesn't make cup cakes, it just sits there and charges batteries. However, SONY has dispensed with giving these chargers free with the RX-10iv camera, so one has to buy a charger. It works fine, of course. If you don't have one, can't go wrong by getting this charger. Four stars ... it doesn't make cup cakes ... :-)

I love this! I rather use this to charge the batter than having to plug my camera to the outlet. It enables me to film and charge another batter for when ever my battery runs low. Extremely useful!

Let me start by saying that Sony cameras are awesome - great sensors, growing selection of lenses, intuitive design. Perhaps one of their only shortcomings is that they burn through batteries very quickly. This means that if you are planning on using your camera a lot, you'll need a second battery. However, for reasons that elude me, Sony does not package a wall charger with its cameras - instead, it only includes a USB cable that you can use to charge the battery while it's in the camera. But that renders the camera useless while you charge the battery. If you really want the flexibility to charge your backup battery while you use the camera, getting one of these chargers is an absolute must!

The battery charger charges my Sony camera battery. It performs as intended, which is all I want or need. I would prefer that the charger remain lit once it is fully charged instead of turning off as this would be a better indicator for me, but this is strictly a preference thing and does not impact the performance of the charger.

Way more convenient than tying up your device just to use it as a charger. Now you can charge a spare battery while still using your device. In my opinion these should be included with every device out if the box.

Great product. I can take and use it anywhere. I travel so it comes in handy when i need it.

Unlike the cable that came with my Sony nex-f3 this charger charges my camera so much quicker. The only downside is not being able to see the percentage that the battery is charged like I can with the cable

Not too much to say; I don't trust 3rd party chargers usually so I get these for my A7Rii and they do great. If you need a charger and this fits your battery, go for it.

Easy to use and convenient for travel. Charges battery fairly quickly.

I shoot with the Sony A7sII, and since Sony W Batteries don't last too long in that camera, I needed an additional battery charger, and this one works great. Best of all are the light indicators of how much of the battery is charged, which the battery charger that comes with the A7sII does not have. Recommend this one for sure.

The BC-VW1 battery charger is what came with my A7SII, and sometimes batteries wont get fully charged because the pins on the charger are loose and the battery wont stay connected. I have to use a rubber band to make sure it stays in the slot. This charger however does not have that issue. The NP-FW50 or its equivelant will fit snugly into the slot and stay there.

works great- takes maybe 3 hrs for full charge plus led indicator lets you know if it's 1/3, 2/3 or full charge. faster than charging in-camera & you can use it for your spare battery & keep on shooting.

Traveling, I like having a backup battery AND don't always want to wait for the battery to charge while in the camera because I want to use the camera! Outlet charger solves this problem.

I am so happy that this product is available. This way, I can be charging one battery while using another. It is so much easier than having to plug the camera in to charge the battery, too

This is a great charger for your camera batteries.

When I purchased my Sony camera, it came with one battery. I like to have an extra battery on hand and this charger allows me to charge the battery without having to be in the camera.

I have used it to charge my NP-FW50 battery. The indicator clearly shows the status of charging and the charged battery seems to be in good shape.

Works perfect. I got so sick of having to plug my a6500 in to charge my batteries. Now I can just plug one in to charge while shooting with the other!
