I haven't used any smart/online features (just using this as an optical disc player, I use Roku / Chromecast / SmartTV for other things) and it works just fine. Controllable through HDMI, so this Blu-Ray, my audio receiver and TV all work through my TV remote. Nice.

We did not want a Blueray for streaming as we believe they are too slow and this was perfect. We only buy Sony Blueray/DVD players as we have never had issues with our 3 we have purchased.

She seems to like it and setting up was compatable with her Samsung hdtv. She doenst really understand the dvd concept but I was able to set up and explain the value and screen assisted display for her liking.
