Tried to search out the best/cheapest bluray player I could. Parents needed to upgrade from their dinosaur tech lol and wow were they stunned. My moms fav movie shawshank redemption absolutely blew her away with the enhanced visuals brought out by this player. Great purchase, we all could not be happier.

Needed a compact blu-ray player for my camper so size was my most important consideration, what I got was a really nice player with a very small profile. Don't have internet access so haven't tested its streaming capability but the playback is excellent, the menus are easy to navigate and the remote is uncomplicated.

I wanted a blu-ray player that was simple to install and didn't need wif-fi to install. The player works great and was easy to set up! I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't need a fancy player and just wants something simple.

Our other Sony DVD lasted a long time, but recently died around the time our TV did so we decided to upgrade both TV and DVD player at once. This Sony does not disappoint. Movies and videos are clear and brilliant when viewed on the new 4K TV. No stutter or skipping of images either. A bargain price, too.

I must preface this review by revealing this unit has only been used thus far for basic playback of DVDs and Blu-rays. Therefore the advanced features are not part of this rating or review. The basic features are operating as expected and the purchase price makes this a excellent buy!

I purchased this play so my we could watch bluerays on our 49-inch HDTV. Easy to set up and use. Now we can watch all formats of video recordings with our electronic devices.

This is a nice inexpensive system. Plays DVD, CD and Blu ray. The remote is a little complicated for such a simple unit. but that is just nit picking. this is hooked up to a 65in 1080p LED flat screen with the HDMI cable. Picture quality is fine for both DVD and Bluray. no complaints yet.

Gets the job done and the price is right. No wi-fi but did not want wi-fi. Wanted to play all types of DVD'S and CD'S with no hassles. Works great!

I've always bought SONY players and this one doesn't disappoint. Just remember, this one is NOT WIFI. So, if you want a good player with internet, and you don't mind it NOT being wireless, then check this one out.

I found myself needing a small footprint bluray player at the last minute for a project. This fit perfectly. It is a great small form factor design, seems decently well built and has convenient "smart" features. My only gripe is that it does not come with an HDMI cable. This is just silly.

This dvd/blueray player does a very good job and is compact enough to fit in very small places. Very easy to use with super clear picture quality.

I bought this Blu-ray player to be able to connect my external hard-drive to it and watch my digital movies on my T.V. It works great and doesn't take too long to load. It is a great option when you do not own a smart T.V. I also liked how small and light it is as well.

This is the same player that I bought for my living room and it works great and is fast acting and so now we bought one for the family room and we love it use it all the time, easy to understsnd and easy to use

considering the price this is a suitable BR player. wasnt so much concerned with the app interface since i have an appletv, but having the apps in the BR menu is convenient. though this is not a wireless player i have it plugged in via network cable to my cable provider router.
