I needed a basic player that didn't need all the bells and whistles since I have other devices that provide them, that is, apps. I just wanted to be able to play BluRay discs through my system. This unit provided that and is quick and easy to set up and upgrade.

Bought this unit to get Netflix and a Blu-ray player to the bedroom. Unit has a small footprint but packs a punch with apps and very crisp picture. Unit is hard wired to my home network so there is no lag when watching Netflix. Works as promised.Very happy with this purchase.

Nice features. Love the compact size. We have limited space in our bedroom and this unit was the perfect size to fit in our available space. Video quality is excellent and it has good connectivity features.

Its a low cost addition to my HT system. Simple and robust interface. You dont really need wifi or 3d in bluray players. The usb interface is nice, you can hookup an external drive and access audio video and picture content in them. Satisfied for its price.

Was looking for new blue ray that was small and compact for the space I had, and this one was a great choice. Easy to use and great picture showing.

This is my first Blu-ray player. I like that it is very compact and does't take up much room. I have used it with both regular and Blu-Ray discs without complaint. It is a good product for the money.

Easy to setup, and a great user interface. Wifi works well, even though we decided to hardwire ours. Plenty of apps if you like youtube, hulu, and netflix, etc. Additionally, load time for Bluray movies is efficient, and video quality is outstanding.

I bought this unit for my bedroom, I currently have the larger unit with surround sound speakers. Love this blu-ray player and I have used the apps. You will need to purchase an ethernet cable to connect to the internet, it is not included.

This sony product; like all sony products works well. It was easy to set up and works good with my new sony TV. So we are happy with it and can enjoy Blu ray movies as well as DVDs rented. Keep up your availability of Sony products.

This Blu-Ray player was super easy to install and is even easier to use. It provides excellent quality as most Sony products that I've tried do. I really have enjoyed this product.

I purchased this player after some brief research and the BestBuy representative helped with all my questions. I would recommend this to a friend because of the outstanding performance and picture quality offered for the price range.

This is my 2nd Blue Ray Player to purchase! Just love it....The previous blue ray player we had always froze up and we were always having to unplug it.....This Blue Ray hasn't froze up once super easy to use....I just wish it was wireless!

I needed a blu ray player that was just that, a blu ray player, since all my tv's are smart tv's I didn't need wifi on my player. This player has worked perfectly and being a Sony device it links with my other Sony devices

Only downfall for this item was it didn't come with a HDMI cable, so i got it as a Christmas gift, but couldn't use it until i went and bought one. It didn't come with a Ethernet line either, but that wasn't as big a deal.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my parents. They didn't want a new TV, and a Fire TV didn't interest them either. This is not only a good Blu Ray player, but also a good intro to smart entertainment for my parents.

I bought this for my electronically challenged Mom. The set up was a breeze and it automatically swiched inputs when turned on and a dvd inserted. This was a huge plus because she can never remember how to switch imputs!

I use this in a classroom setting for showing cooking videos and educational material. It is fantastic because it allows for Blu ray and DVD playing which is get harder to find nowadays. You can never go wrong with Sony.

This is one of the nicer Blu-ray players I've owned at around this price-point. It has support for many online video services, which I doubt I'll ever use, because I have an Apple TV right next to it, but it certainly does the job.

Looked at several different blue ray players before making my final decision to buy the Sony. Wasn't really looking for a player with a bunch of bells and whistle, for the price i couldn't beat this unit by Sony.

The Sony Blue-ray player was very easy to set up. Once the two simple connections were made, the TV recognized the device and everything was ready in about 5 minutes. The only down side is there is no track indicator.
