Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The manager was very rude and gave me the run around even though I explained to her it was unfixable I had to wait 3 weeks to hear I was right in the first place and now this new one doesn't stream on gas Internet.

The BDP-S1700U does not support native 4K Ultra HD disc playback. While it is an excellent player for standard Blu-ray discs and can upscale your existing DVDs to a higher quality, it lacks the specific internal laser and decoding hardware required to read 4K UHD media. To enjoy your 4K collection, we recommend our UBP-X700 or UBP-X800M2 models, which are specifically engineered for Ultra HD performance.

Wrong item sent: TWICE!

Sony Blu-ray a Bargain

The unit performs great with excellent video and audio. Definitely worth the money.

Loud while operating
