    I purchased this basic blu ray player to occasionally play some older movies I own. I have used it a few times and it works perfectly. Its under $100 and well worth it.

    In general, these things seem to have a shelf life. They last several years, then mysteriously stop working; even the "videophile" (expensive) grade ones. The picture this puts out is almost the same as one that cost ten times as much. I watch 4K on a 110" screen. For something that has become "disposable", not to bad. And when it breaks, I won't care. Just toss and get another one!
