This player was easy to set up and works great. However, one of the highlighted features, the ability to play Playstation3 games, requires a Playstation controller (reasonable) and a subscription service at extra cost (not reasonable). These were not described on the box, nor in the product description online. Just be aware; I had a few disappointed grandsons.

A friend of mine was looking for a good way to stream Netflix etc. on an older TV. She had asked about a ROKU etc. and I saw this and told her about it. We purchased it and set it up. I worked flawlessly and everyone who has used it has found it to be simple to use. I think that she may want another one for her other TV's

I always research purchases of electronics components and bought the previous model based on What HiFi product of the year 2014 & it has been great, so when I decided to upgrade in another room to Blu-ray, I got the BDPS5500 and it's even better. What HiFi gave it 5 stars as well and again the product is spot on for performance.

Needed a media hub to connect to my projector to - connect to online streaming services without the need for a PC or mobile device - mirror my android devices - play content from a USB HDD, and - play HD Bluray discs The Sony does all of this with expedience and perfect quality!

i normally only buy sony products but i fell for a bargain and bought an LG blu ray dvd player so i could watch netflix movies. the LG product was unpredictable, slow, inferior quality. i went back to a sony dvd player and will never buy another LG product. only sony and samsung for me!

This bluray player has 3d capability but does not upscale. There is a higher model that upscales picture quality, my 4k TV upscales so I didn't need it on the player. 3d was surprisingly good with passive glasses. The thing I like most is the small size. Overall I'm really satisfied.

I bought this blu ray player because I wanted a second one for the bedroom. I wanted it to have wireless streaming so I can watch Netflix movies and shows. It was easy to set up and steams online content really good. Watching blu ray movies in the player is really good too.

I needed a Blue ray disk player and this fitss the bill nicely. Loads quickly and transmits colors vividly both in blue ray and regular DVDs. There is no window where you can setup time or view any info, just a small green light when on. That's the only objection I have. Nice player for the money.

Bought this player for my father-in-law and with all the smart features it offers he brought his fancy tv back and got just a standard 60" on sale for 500. Great features, but one downfall is its Sony so even though my Samsung 3D glasses connected I could not switch the Left or Right eye feature.

This unit was very easy to set up and use. I've owned Panasonic, LG and Sony Blu Ray players and Sony by far has worked the best. Both Panasonic and LG and Wi-Fi connectivity issues at some point. This is my 2nd Sony Blu Ray player and have never had problems with either.
