I was looking at this one and the same version but non 3D version and I believe this one was around $15 more so I grabbed this one. I've used it for a couple months now and have zero problems. Tons of apps! Also got the 4 year warranty for only $20 so it's protected for really cheap!

I have a Samsung E-5900 that I purchased with my Samsung 55"3D TV, you couldn't get through a single movie with out a freeze up somewhere at least once usually multiple times throughout the movie from day one. This Sony BDPS5500 has played flawlessly so far and set up was simple.

This is the 2nd time I have Sony blue ray player and this make you watch movies same as in a cinema. The pictures is sharp and the sound are clear. It's different than other brand that I ever owned, even the specifications are better than Sony. I recommend.

Fourth Sony Blue Player I've purchased. Like the streaming capabilities with NetFlix and all the on line sources available. Sony keeps adding additional features and on line sources of video. Internet browser is much more useable than earlier players.

We had bought the Sony 3D TV and the Geek Squad installed it. We had not purchased the 3D DVD player as we did not know we had to have a Special one. The Geek Squad had brought one along with them, so we purchased it right away. Thanks Geek Squad.

This is a good quality Blu-Ray play. It also access and play my mp4 movies that I have stored on my Western Digital My Cloud. It has a USB port on the front of the unit that a USB thumb drive can be connected to which you can access and play mp4 files.

Awesome for the price. Mainly bought for Wi-Fi video streaming. Works great and am happy that it automatically switches my Sony TV to HDMI2 when turned on and back to HDMI1 when turned off.

This Blu-Ray was just as I hoped it would be. It plays boy-rays just fine but more to the point for me is that it has built in wi-fi so I am able to watch my Netflix etc without all the hassle of cords. I'm a satisfied customer with my purchase

low cost blue ray player. Great brand, wifi, easy to navigate menu. Quick start when you press any button on the remote is nice, it even does this when I have the hdmi connection plugged into a switching device. Easy setup. Exactly what I wanted.

It does everything I want it to do. 3d playback, apps, small FF. The only issue I have is for $100, the interface should be better and faster. Ergo, it just ain't pretty. Amazon Fire TV is all around a better choice for apps, but this is a great bluray/app tv combo.

Great, simple unit that gets the job done. Only shortcoming is that when you remove a disk, the player does not remember where it left off...no big deal but I got spoiled with my last player that offered it.

Sony has my trust on bluray players. This model didn't disappoint me on feature and function. Bought 2 of these basically upgrading over 2 older Sony models that still work flawlessly after 4 years. Simply moved the 2 older ones to bedrooms.

I purchased my Blu-ray player from Best Buy recently. I set the player up and began using it the same day. The player is extremely easy to operate and I've had no problems. Thank you Best Buy employees for recommending this product to me.

We decided to purchase a Blu-ray player but didn't need anything extravagant. This fits the bill and actually does more than we even need. It works great and is small enough to carry with us when going out of tow. Well worth the money!

We have been very happy with it. One thing people should know is that it can freeze up. Just unplug and replug takes care of the problem.

This is worth the extra $10-15 for the streaming wireless capability. The built-in opera browser has had a few glitches with connecting to the Internet. The Amazon streaming service works great. My kids enjoy all the content!

The player has all the features to turn your regular TV into a smart TV. There are adequate apps and the box streams internet and USB video flawlessly. The quick turn on feature is nice rather than waiting for it to boot.

I love Sony electronics and this DVD player was just what I needed to complete my entertainment system. The set up is a breeze, it's easy to use and connects to your wifi connection with ease. Glad I made the purchase.

I was concerned about this player due to the inexpensive cost, but it provides a very clear picture- both disk and streaming. It can also handle PS3 games. Great!
