I last bought a Blu-Ray player in 2009, before they came with WiFi, had apps pre-loaded and were the width of a stereo component. I am very pleased with the DVD / BluRay playback as well as the streaming performance.

Easy set up. Research showed folks complaining about wifi problems. None so far. Love Sony. Replaced a regular Sony blue ray player with this Wifi player. Didn't even have to change my Harmony all in one remote.

We were able to install this, hook to the wifi and start watching Netflix in less than 30 minutes. And most of that was spent looking for the wifi password. The picture is great and the response time is excellent.

I really liked this bluray DVD player and recorder it had beautiful and fabulous high definition picture quality when I hooked it up to my huge flat screen and I am very happy with the functionality and result

Great streaming box. I use it on Netflix and MLB App to view baseball games not available in my area. It's wireless works great truly recommend this unit.

This dvd player seems to work good so far and love being able to use it for Netflix. Hook up and set up was easy. I bought this for my mom and she was able to figure this out and use it with out issues.

I found this blue ray player easy to set up! Cost was ok! Could not set up 3D option but it was the fault of my older TV WHICH I COULD NOT GET PARTS FOR! Make sure your TV is set up first so you don't spend the extra money.

Works well. Set -up easy with clear instructions. Please Sony , improve function and number of web offerings. Overall pleased with unit and hoping for longevity that warrants choosing Sony. We will see, que Serra ,Serra

I bought this Sony to replace my old Samsung Blu-ray. I was impressed on time it took to get onto Netflix. It took only very few seconds, and to watch a movie on a disc.

Purchased this to replace the XBOX we were using to stream Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon. Most of the time it works great. I have noticed it takes longer to load than the XBOX but I am still satisfied with the product.

I connected this to a very old flat screen tv. It hooked up easily and now my free tv is an awesome smart tv. So easy, even a man could do it.

We have 2 of the Sony BDPS5500's and a previous years model. They are easy to setup, use, and are reliable.

The player is small and compact. It comes with netflix , vudu and the usual suite of apps. It was easy to connect but for some reason the signal strength varies.

This Blu-ray player does the job. It's a little pricey but that's to be expected with Sony. Good picture. Good sound. Haven't tried the 3D. The smart features are good and the menus are easily navigated.

Was looking for a low cost blu ray player. Mainly use for streaming. Works great and always hits wifi

Very nice product. This new design is more versatile than the one before, is easier to clean and fits better everywhere. Works fine and the interface is very super friendly. Love Sony.

The blu-ray player plays the blu-ray discs I have put in, picture looks great! What more would you want? I have not tried to add any apps yet, so cannot comment on that feature.

I haven't had any issues with this unit so far. Handles bluRay and 3d bluray just fine. Small profile unit. No complaints for this unit, especially considering the low price.

My family choose this for me as I had recent spine surgery and was in bed much of the time. I could with the remote transfer from streaming, DVD's and back to regular TV in bed.
