This Sony player integrated well into my largely Sony home theatre system. It's support for Sony's Bravia Sync allows my Sony smart tv controller to control all of the DVDs/Blyray player functions other than the open/eject functions.

Sony systems had worked before in identical locations, so I sought this item out. Worked perfectly and connected to Wifi throughout the house. Plays BR/DVD/Cd flawlessly. Had similar connectivity problems with Roku; maybe they use the same electronics as Samsung.

Our newer tv stopped showing Netflix-- the fix would have been a costly repair. This dvd player will access Netflix and a variety of other options. Happy with the product. The remote is a bit of a lightweight. Concerned it will crack or break if it falls.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.3d practically useless because of lack of quality 3d dvd products.Quality 3d dvd's are usually more expensive to buy for the amount of viewing you will use them for and your TV must be a 3d capable model.you are better off buying the 3500 model that is $30 cheaper with out 3d capability.No sense in buying the 5500 3d model if your TV is not 3d capable.
