Easy to use...small profile...a little slow on the startup

This was bought for the spare room. It has a small footprint which is great for the limited space, and it works like a champ with all the regular "apps" for online viewing. Easily set up.

I purchased and compared four different blu-ray players (Sony S6500, Sony S5500, Panasonic DMP-BDT460, and the Pioneer BDP-80FD) trying to find the best bang for my buck. I compared these players using Pixar's Toy Story 2 blu-ray, displayed on a Panasonic TC-P60ZT60, considered the best HDTV ever made. I used the THX preset, which is close to being perfect. The scenes I used Woody's Restoration, and Jesse's flashback. The bottom line is that the s5500 was the worst performer of the four players I tested. Color rendition was inaccurate, the images lacked depth and software lacked fine control of image quality to compensate for the player's drawbacks. The S5500 is neither good enough, nor cheap enough, to earn your money. I recommend value conscious buyers choose the S3500, which equals the S5500 in image quality, to save some money. Or, step up to the S6500 for better image quality.

This DVD player easy to set up and actually worked.

We had a Sony DVD player, but needed to buy a new one to replace one in the den. Got the new one for family room and moved the old Sony DVD player into the den. The 4year old one was really slow to load! The new Sony is much faster. We are very happy with the new DVD player.

I have an older model tv which is not a smart tv the purchase of this dvd player transform any older model tv into the 21 century. The dvd player also let's you connect your smart phone to the tv via the screen imaging feature.

I researched several blu ray players along with their reviews before picking this one out. I generally play my movies through a usb drive I have, and this blu ray has read every movie file extension without any problems or errors, even 3D movies without any issues.

This was bought to replace an older unit that died. It works fine for the price but it is disappointing that many new Blu-ray players only have HDMI output as it makes it difficult to use with older TVs with component or composite.

Not too happy with the Wi Fi feature, signed up for a free trail period on hulu. Wi Fi connection kept cutting off and on, very frustrating! Did not bother to use this feature anymore although it is nice to have Wi Fi it was not the reason why I purchase this unit. I have other devices that I stream internet off of and never have issues. The box looks very plain no Display lights or Led numbers too let you know how many minutes your into the movie, but I guess this is common now because most Blu Ray player do not have this function anymore, instead you get the cheap Wi Fi that works when it wants too.

Moved my PS4 to game room and wanted to still watch blu-rays in the living room, so I purchased this player. Works great, zippy, and produces stunning images on my projector screen. To me, the image looks better than the PS4 blu-ray image.

It seems reasonably priced for a 3D blu-ray player compared to the market. It also is the same brand as my TV, which is why I got it. It arrived quickly after I ordered it. I have not had time to try and out though, so I cannot report on how it works.

I was looking for a DVD player and I had a budget for that. I took this one and it came with bluetooth and that function with makes our TV smart So I had everything for the price I exited to spend. I am happy and very satisfied

I have not used this Blu-ray 3D DVD player much, mostly just trying to get familiar with its operation & features, I was blown away by the upscaled 1080P picture on my new 75" TV. No experience with the a Blu-ray DVD or 3D.
