Good and fast player

The internet keeps dropping. I replaced it with Sony 6500 series. The 6500 series has the same problem. Maybe it is router? Due to this experience I don't recommend both 5500 and 6500 series for streaming. I use Apple TV instead.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read the reviews and this machine came up pretty good. So far it has played all discs flawlessly. I have couple of complaints for it though. 1) No display on the machine itself. 2) It shuts off automatically. You can not leave a movie on pause while you eat lunch. It does not always go back to the point you were at - it may restart at reloading the disc. I understand this can be attributed to the disc master but more times then not it will restart the disc. It was also very difficult to set up with my Onkyo receiver as it does not have a simple setting allowing the sound to be recognized (TRU-HD, DTS-HD etc) by the Onkyo. I read about this issue in several Onkyo/Sony reviews.

As well, unfortunately the resume point option will be lost if the player turns off and it will go to standby mode if you have not been using it for more than 20 minutes .~Jeannette
