Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a piece of garbage. Constant error messages that 'the disc tray is in use' when it is NOT. Won't let me access apps (Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, etc.) because of this. Constant internet connectivity error messages like it can't connect to my wifi, while none of the other devices in my home seem to have a problem with connectivity. I wish I'd kept the packaging and receipt because I'd return this piece in a heartbeat. Every time I try to use it it irritates me so badly that I usually just turn it off. Basically a $90 brick that I bought for my house. If anyone wants one for free, you can have mine.

Garbage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally purchased the 3500 and returned it within the week because of it's poor performance. Because of a sale going on I was able to exchange it for the upgrade. Unfortunately the upgrade is even worse! Constantly freezes up and has to be unplugged to reset it. I called Sony and have yet to hear back from them. There was a time that getting a Sony product meant that you were getting top of the line quality but apparently that is far from the truth now. So disappointed and frustrated!!

Very disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought this today and had issues already. Got it hooked up and it'll start up for 30 seconds and black out and also all of the buttons stop functioning. Tried different hdmi cable and different tv, same problem. Also tried to see what it would do not hooked up to anything and after the 30 seconds none of the buttons worked on it. Gonna try a Samsung next

Furious consumer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lack of an optical audio port, the standard for high end audio for over 30 years, is why I had to return it. I urge all consumers to do the same before being forced to upgrade your home theater audio system. I want so much to give it no stars.

Terrible quality Bluray player
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this player for about 8 months and at first it was great but after a few months it became sluggish and unresponsive. The apps began loading very slowly and crashing often. It has issues recognizing dvds and blurays or takes an exceedingly long time to read them. I contact Sony support and you get horrible recommendations and steps to try to prevent you from sending it in for warranty work. I was told to redo the steps i previously did in a support case because they can't continue without troubleshooting (even though they pulled up the previous ticket where troubleshooting was done). Use caution when buying Sony products (Playstation is the only exception), in my experience most barely outlive their warranty and some don't like this player. Find a different player made by a company with quality standards and competent support. This is my second Sony player in two years to stop functioning (the first was 2 months after warranty ended).
