Previously I had another Sony BDP that worked very well but was slow to launch apps. This device has a quick power on option and the apps are ready to go. Operation such as FF and loading of shows to stream is also very fast. Highly recommended.

This is a small dvd player but works great. Love that it has VODO on it so now I can watch my shows that I purchase from Walmart if I like. Can't say much on the 4K because my T.V is not 4K. But over all I would recommend this to anyone.

Well, what is it with Samsung and overheating?? Sony design does not overheat. It plays well, does not freeze..... Samsung design overheats making the player unable to play DVDs AND unable to open the darn thing to get your perfectly good dvd back out of it!

replaced Sony Bluray BDP-S1200 that I purchased last year and was unable to access the UTube app.anymore. New Sony 4K UHD BDP-S6500 supported the UTube app as soon as it was connectd. It also supports 3D

Like that it can play multiple disc formats so old favourites can still be watched. Only problem I have is that the Player overrides all other equipment connected to the TV, so every time the TV is switched on we have to change the input source...irritating.

This was an exchange from a previous Bluray with issues bought as a gift for my mother. so far she loves it, doesn't have the lag and constant freeze frame moments as she did with the old one. Hopefully it continues to keep her happy. :)

I bought this as I'm hearing impaired, and my two other DVD players won't show embedded closed captions. This one you can select it in the menu and Bingo, you have your CC on demand!

looks great on my 3D tv. I love it and it's perfect!

Bought a 4k tv and needed a proper blue ray player. Works well. Very simple design. Not used to lack of lighted face but makes it unassuming under my tv. I am fine with it.

Trouble free service. Unit froze . Removal and replugging the power cord solved the problem. Not enough cord was available t o pull the unit out and reach the back. Problem solved by clipping cord ties. I would have been happier with more cord to work with.

This does everything it is supposed to. It is a little confusing at first trying to get used to the apps and all but once that was done, it is a great little player that doesn't take up much space and the visual quality is outstanding

The player load very fast and plays great. I have to get used to the digital picture. My Sony S550 player on my previous Bravias gave a bright, sharp, colorful, deep film like image. Over the years that kind of quality has gone out of style.

I have always owned Sony DVD players- only- because they are the most dependable on the market. I have never had a problem with any of the ones I have owned and only get a new one every 10 yrs or so as an upgrade...

This is a good blue ray player wth excellent web applications that work well. Web apps pull up quickly and have worked flawlessly to date. The two negatives are the small size which detracts from stacking and the power supply is not internal.

I don't play many Blu-Ray discs. Bought it for DVDs and to have for my few Blu Rays or when someone brings one over. Figured I might as well be ready for anything. It has performed the job as needed, no qualms as of yet.

Very glitchy and slow operating system. Freezes frequently and have to unplug to reset. Hulu had sent emails stating this player will no longer be supported.

I really like Sony Blu-ray player. It starts up quickly and you can access apps with the built-in WiFi. My Smart TV takes a little bit to warm up before it lets me use any apps. So I use the apps on the Blu-ray instead.

This Blu-Ray player is a nice streaming player. Colors are vibrant, Wi-Fi connection works well. What is best is the setup was painless and easy to configure. This player is simplicity and durability and well-crafted right out of the box

Good product. Thought it was bad and returned the product, but at the end we found out that the Geek Squad did not connect the item and therefore it was not playing :/ After connecting correctly, product works out perfect.

I bought this player in exchange for one that didn't work properly. I have watched a few disks on it and I see nothing out of the ordinary as far as function. I am totally satisfied and I would recommend this player to those in the market.
