This isn't a bad item and has WiFi. I feel a lot of the apps or so-called services on it aren't useful. It says it has 300+ streaming services, I haven't found them. I feel that is a little misleading. Overall, it seems to be an ok unit.

I am very happy with this purchase. It met all my expectations. High quality video and sound. Sharp images. It was a smaller unit then I anticipated, but it does all it claimed. I trust Sony products and this did nothing to change my mind.

I went with the Sony brand Blu Ray because I was so happy with the Sony 4K TV I purchased! The remotes synched together so I only have to use one which is pretty cool!

This player will play the $9.99 movies my original player would not play. 3D movies would play on my original but 5 different cheaper regular movies would not play on it so I bought this one. This one plays them.

I have an old sony blue ray player, got this one as i wanted 4k upscale functionality and am definitely not disappointed. The image quality and resolution is clearly better than the old player I had. Worthy buy.

The only issue I have encountered (multiple times) is with apps. Usually occurs when using Pandora. It will eventually stop playing. Cannot figure out how to start it back, so go back to BDP home page and try to reopen the app. It will not reopen - just goes to black screen. At that point, try any other app and goes to black screen. Power off and back on - no change. Only way to fix it is to unplug. Quite frustrating. Updated to current version of software... Otherwise, works as anticipated. Haven't tried a UHD BluRay due to cost of disk but hope to soon. I would not recommend primarily because we use Pandora at least 50% of total use of the player.

I actually bought this because it was on sale and I had a gift card. I had one Blu ray disc from years ago. I just plugged it in hooked it up to my av and wifi and everything worked great . Have not tried the 3d yet.

I really love this blu ray player. The software is so much better than previous models. It starts up and loads faster too. I just wish I could find a 3D tv that works just as well before they quit making them.

I love my Sony Blu-ray dvd player. With my old player I would have to grab my tv controller to switch inputs. Now all i do is open the tray and press play and the player automatically switches my tv input from cable to dvd in on step.

I have been very satisfied with this product. it works extremely well and I have been very pleased with the quality of the product. very good product for the value. I would highly recommend.

I like Sony. This is a very nice player with great features! My only complaint is that it seems to not play YouTube videos correctly - it times them out and says file size too large. Otherwise this is a very nice Blu-ray player!!

The Sony 6500 is an excellent wifi blu ray player. It's fast, responsive and connects to internet quickly and flawlessly. Got it on sale and would recommend to other or buy it again for myself.

My 14yr old set this up & was pretty easy to configure (finding where to add WiFi & such). My only wish is that it was easier to add major TV station apps so we can watch shows from those sources as well (CW, NBC, CBS, etc).

My only complaint with this BD player is that you cannot download some Apps that I'd like such as HBO GO or some of the other premium cable apps. Plays discs great, and I love the Netflix button on the remote to go right into it.

I bought this unit to go with a 3D ready Sony Bravia TV. It replaced an older Sony Blu-Ray player that was working fine, but was not 3D capable. The new unit has a good picture, and it makes viewing 3D Blu-Rays very easy. The problem is that, if left unattended for more than a day or two, it will not turn back on again. It won't respond to either the remote or the power button on the front of the unit. The only way I can get it to turn back on again is by unplugging it and plugging it back in again. Obviously, that's annoying.

I used mine for about a week (Christmas Present) and it quit on me. Would not bring a picture to the tv no matter what I did. I moved the hdmi cable to another hdmi port on my tv. I replaced the hdmi cable with an upgraded cable. I unplugged the player and plugged it back in three times. Nothing worked. The machine was about a week old I returned it to the store. While it worked the picture and sound where good. I had to place the audio into the PCM mode, on the machine, before it would play through a Bose speaker.

My previous Blu ray player failed recently. I had it for many years. Purchased it when they first came out. The new Sony that I purchased, the BDPS6500, I could not believe it! Very pleased regarding cost.!

My wife and I purchased this on Black Friday 2016. We have been pretty pleased with it, my only complaint is that it sometimes takes it a minute or two for it to connect to our network (hardlined directly into the router).

This is a great blu-ray player for any one who wants to play blu-rays and wants to watch streaming movies through a service like Netflix. Compared to another Blu-ray I own this one loads a lot quicker.

I have exchanged this item but am experiencing a constant problem. While streaming content, it often freezes, I must unplug unit to reset
