used it twice cant really tell if its upscaling it to 4k anymore but i like it coz of its small size

Not much to say except it is a good DVD player. Waited for Best Buy to drop the rate $100 and it was well worth it.

I upgraded to this Blu-ray player and it boots and loads movies much faster than my previous Sony blue-ray player.

Purchased the unit and it worked fine for a few weeks then it started freezing up while playing DVDs as well as during streaming from aps like Amazon and Netflix. I disconnected it from my system and I am going to be returning it to the store.

We bought one of these Blu-ray players for family at Christmas, and it performs so well that we also bought one for ourselves.

Researched this 3D BRay player on Sony web site and like the features. Best Buy had the best price for this player.

This player was easy to set up and so far we have had good results. Small in size but works for us. Instructions could be better.

My 2 star rating is based on two issues; 1) the Sony player does not auto-convert to the necessary audio format which is compatible with the Sonos Sound bar (this is a known issue by Sonos and other Sonos users), and 2) software updates via the internet are hit or miss at times and therefore, I have had to download updates onto a memory stick and then load to player. These issues impacted the "ease of use" component of the product. I will say the player in all other aspects does the job quite well. Because of these issues, I returned the player to Best Buy for a comparable Samsung product (BD-J6300) and one that Sonos confirmed had no compatibility issues (player does a great job both from an audio and video perspective). Separate of my comments regarding the player, I cannot express how helpful and cooperative Best Buy has been in helping resolve my problems and making sure that I was a happy/ satisfied customer. Best Buy has been absolutely fantastic and as a result, I added a Sonos sub-woofer, bought a new Sony tv, and am about to go and purchase 2 Sonos Play 1 speakers. Best Buy's in-store customer service at their Peachtree City, GA location has been A+++.

SONY WAS THE FIRST TO MAKE DVD PLAYERS AND THIS IS AN EXCELLENT PRODUCT. VERY FAST AND MANY APPS TO CHOOSE FROM.

currently using it with OPTOMA projector. Great experience. DVD/Blurays are working great with the combination.

This is a machine that will fit all the basic needs you look for in a BluRay/DVD player. Hook up was easy and playback has been good.
