Posted .Hi mayotex, We regret to hear that this unit failed to meet your expectations. Sony Blu-ray players sold in the U.S.are coded to play Region 1 DVD discs. They also will play discs labeled Region 0 or All. Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thanks, Dave

Good for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To make it easy, spend a little more in another one. Took too long in responding commands for my liking. Sometimes it would stay in a black screen and nothing would work until a little time later. It would restart itself. Only buy if def cant afford another one.

Posted .Hi, Gamerdex, Thanks for sharing your experience with your new Sony Blu-ray player. Please always check for updates which improve the performance of your product with fixes and new features. Perform a power reset to isolate the issue: Remove the disc from the Blu-ray Disc player > Turn off the Blu-ray Disc player. > Unplug the power cord of the Blu-ray Disc player from the electrical outlet. > Let the player remain without power for one minute. > Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. > Turn on the Blu-ray Disc player. Regards, Vincent

Not good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to a Samsung within a week, just because I disliked it that bad. It wouldn't play half the 4k discs I wanted (don't know if it was the disc or player because I exchanged both). It uses a similar interface as the PS3, but doesn't feel as ergonomic.

Maybe it will conect today
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The WiFi is never consistent. I have to constantly setup the WiFi to get it to connect to the internet. The Blu Ray is fine but thats not why I bought it. I can't even get it to connect for updates.

NO DISPLAY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned this before I even hooked it up. It has no LED display for it. Why would they make something like this without the display? Could not even tell if it was on! Bad purchase the Samsung was much better and has the display. I rated it 5 stars

Had to return
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It may have just been this particular one we picked up, but it had trouble working. Blurays are very easy to hook up, but this one had trouble with the tv I used. Artifacts on the screen and would freeze during set up. I returned it.

HAS LOCKUP UP ISSUES
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit locks up and must be unplugged and plugged back in. I took it back and the new one does the same thing. I did the software update and that made it better but did not solve the problem. The funny thing is I have the same model in the bedroom and it has never had any issues. Thus I bought one just like for the den and I have had this one issue. Once the unit is rebooted it works great for about 1 to 2 weeks and then locks up. Before the software update it would lock up every 3 days.

Sony Blu Ray Player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice small size for a Blu Ray Player. Returned player due to the effect that you can not select the apps you want. Comes programmed with apps from the manufacturer.

Only lasted a couple months.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Powered it up, connected to the wireless router and away we went. Good interface and nice apps, but then it started to lock up randomly. Then it started disconnecting the wireless connection. Reset the machine and router several times. Changed wireless frequencies and followed Sony support step by step. Still no good. Tried the wired connection, still bad. Sony blames it on my service. I checked error rates and speed and have no issues at all. Should have lasted longer. Taking it to Geek Squad tomorrow to use my agreement or send it back to Sony. I'd stay away from this one.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesnt seem like Sony put much effort into this one. Settings and options are bulky and confusing. Turns out most 4k Tvs upscale and dont require this player to do so. Dont waste your money imo.

Posted .Hi LHendo, This Blu-ray player is not a 4K player. It will only upscale your Blu-rays, DVD’s and photos to near-4K quality: https://docs.sony.com/release//specs/BDPS6500_mksp.pdf. -Vincent

Product name misleading
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As just a Blu-Ray player this model is okay but the 4K product name is misleading. I overlooked the "upscaling" in the name and thought I was getting an actual 4K player.
