I love my Sony 3D Blu-ray player. It has 4K upscaling and built-in Wifi and the system boots up quickly. The integrated remote works with my Sony TV also

Great Device for the price. The interface can be a little sluggish on the Streaming side but I am guessing that is due to it being on wireless and not a real Lan connection. No complaints at all with this unit.

Waited until is was reduced to $90 to purchase it. Worth the wait. Real easy to setup and interface to Amazon, NetFlix & YouTube is user friendly. Great picture. Happy with my purchase.

We had an older Sony Blu-Ray player that died, and we replaced it wth this. So far we are pleased with the quality of the picture. The apps are good. Have had no problems in the month that we have had it.

.. I purchased this 4k up/3D blu-ray player last night. My favorite BB store associate recommended this to me, saying it was easier to set up than the Samsung and that it had great resolution for my 4K television. Once I got this item home and un-boxed, I see where it DOES NOT have any digital input/output for my use with my digital soundsound system. . The only inputs are for a/c plug in, HDMI and coax/RCA style audio input. . If you're looking for the best possible sound from a DVD player, this item is not what you need. Sony is a great brand and product, but for digital sound, this is not compatible. I did recommend this model simply because of the brand- I didn't want to sway you away from other quality aspects.

I feel the Sony BDPS6500 Streaming 4K Upscaling 3D Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player was I feel like a good bang for the buck,

Everything works great and great picture but I am returning due to all DTS audio is only put into Stereo and you can not get DTS HD Master audio to your receiver. If you have a soundbar this is great for you but not for multi-channel DTS.

I just replaced my Samsung BluRay DVD player with this Sony and talk about night and day difference in setting it up. It took 4 minutes to set this up including getting the WiFi to log onto my wireless internet. I spent an hour trying to get my samsung player to hookup to my wireless and finally gave up and always had problems playing disks with it. The Sony loads and plays the BlueRay and standard DVD's quietly and with a Beautiful picture on a standard LCD samsung LCD. I've always liked Sony for CD players and now love them for DVD players too. A very good deal on a very good player.

Great picture & sound. Extremely easy set-up;just follow prompts. The only minor complaint pertains to the streaming functionality; can be clunky & slow at times.

Purchased this player for BluRay and smart apps displayed at high resolution - did not disappoint. All the apps you'd expect, although video streaming over wireless causes some buffering and loss of quality. Recommend using with wired Ethernet for best results.

Great product. Easy to hook up. There was a software update needed, but was simple to complete over wifi connection. Highly recommend.

The product page for this item states it has two component outputs and one component input and does not have any component connections at all. Only HDMI, Ethernet, Coaxial digital audio and that is it.

There are two things missing that I think would have liked to have included. First - there's no display on the device itself, unless you count the green power light. There is a "Display" button on the remote that will show you information, but I would like to see it on the device itself - especially if it locks up for some reason. Second - there's no optical digital output; only HDMI and coaxial digital. I have had problems with coaxial digital in the past, and don't want to have to pass the video signal through my stereo receiver to get to my TV.

We recently purchased thiI don’t understand why anyone would rate this player with 5 stars other than the obvious. It plays brand new movies and Blu-Ray perfectly. HOWEVER, if you are like me and have DVD’s from the time they were invented then you have some movies with some age. This thing is “supposed” to be able to play anything. Well, it can, but be advised you are in for some frustration. Our system is 100% set up in the English language. Whenever we have played DVD’s in the past the movies have always automatically defaulted to English. But now when we put a movie into this player it starts playing in Spanish. You can go to the movie all you want to and the correct areas are checked/unchecked, etc. But this thing plays in Spanish! UGH! No help from the 1-800 Geek Squad line. So, I am here to tell you…keep pressing the video button on the remote and it will eventually go to English. It won’t do it automatically on older movies…it’s not you, it’s not the DVD, just the system itself. My suggestion is to buy something else that is more dependable and can read you system and/or the DVD itself.s

I just picked this up yesterday. I replaced an older Sony 3D Bluray player. One thing I can't find in the menu of the new one is where you can preview 3D movies from Sony. If anyone knows where they are please comment!

Excellent Blue Ray player. This replaced another Sony Blu-ray player that was several years old. Very easy to set up and I love that it has the USB connection on the front. Interface is excellent. No issues so far.

Still work's. 5years later. Guess im a little behind on my reviews. Lol

great little 3-D Blu-Ray player , quick boot time very quick and responsive when in menus, plays every file type I have thrown at it with no hicups, very happy recommended, bought one for mother after i bought mine to replace an older one that still worked fine, just an overall great little player :-)
