I did not know I had a passive subwoofer and it has to have a subwoofer with built-in amplifier in order to work properly. So keep that in mind as an added expense, also you will need an HDMI cable for every HDMI compatible device you plug into it to get the full experience. That was another added cost.

Misleading Product

However, we later found out in the fine print, that his tv also had to be for 3 D movies. Not everyone is tech savvy. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is that it is a good quality product, but it is overpriced since it is not good for what it implies.

Solid Mid-Priced Blu-ray Player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Sony BDPS6500 is responsive and has a well organized menu structure along with a cheap, but comprehensive remote control. The streaming apps respond well once loaded, but seem rather sluggish at startup. One other issue is a tendency to make vibration noises when the disk speeds up. I deducted 1 star for the vibration issue and slow app start-up. Other than that, it's been a reliable unit.

The output being 2 component sets of ports. Best buy customer support was very rude both on the phone and in store, not willing to go the extra mile to help a customer out? I can't use the product without an adapter, it's taking 6 weeks to arrive. It was suppposed to be a Christmas present... ...
