Sony S6500 is an excellent bluray player. I have it connected to my new 4K TV and my video content are all upscaled to 4K. Only complaint is I wish it had a USB port in the back so my USB hard drive doesn't have to be visible when connected to the only USB port in the front.

This Blu Ray player works great with lots of features that I will incorporate into use over time. That being said, the remote is a little less than user friendly. Just a personal preference, but the buttons are not arranged at all where I would think to find them. Most importantly, the player is very easy to set-up and use... Would recommend it to others.

I bought this so I could play Netflix and also Blue Rays. Easy to use. Seems to work fine.

This Blu-ray is a replacement for a well-used Sony DVD player. Absolutely no complaints. My first disc, the Rush R40 tour (filmed in Toronto), is stunning to say the least. We attended the concert in Alpharetta, GA, and the experience with the Blu-ray and our 4K television is Almost as good as being at the conert. This player is paired to my Bose SoundTouch I30 system and I have absolutely enjoyed it so far.

Much easier to use than my previous blue ray. Picture is excellent, loads of aps available.

I own a 4k television, my old tv broke down and I just went to buy a 4k set. Although I've seen some stuff streamed on Netflix in 4K resolution. The thing is, 4k players and the blu-rays themselves are really expensive right now. So I looked at this sony player that up converts regular blurays to 4k -like resolution and I have to say I'm impressed. I now can see what my tv can do. Movies look gorgeous and very high definition. I recommend this player as a half step towards waiting till 4k player prices come down. It makes regular blurays look fantastic, and the unit is inexpensive so you don't feel like you wasted money when you replace it down the road. Also very tiny in size, plus comes loaded with popular Apps. A good value all around. The image resolution produced by the device is clearly superior than the other dvd player that does not have the upscale capability.

This is a great bluray player that doesn't take up much space. It includes all popular apps like netflix, hulu, vudu and amazon. 3D and 4K output works great with a HDMI 2.0 cable. I might buy a second one for the bedroom.
