Fast, quality picture with nice 4K upscalling and lots of smart features. Best bluray player I have ever owned.

I have always liked Sonys quality and products, and I like that this unit doesn't demand a lot of space.

easy to install, multi-function, not only DVD/Bluerat, but also Wi-Fi contacts, e g netflix, amazon, etc.

It was much faster than my older one it also has more features I like that you could use Netflix through it

The Sony 4K upscaling DVD player is a good player for your home theater. Picture is good and performs reasonably well.

I have personally used samsung and sony blu ray players and prefer the sony products for ease of connection, apps available and layout. The bdps6500 represents the best sony currently has to offer

Plays DVDs wonderfully. Connects to Internet nicely. Nice and compact, fits anywhere. Navigation documentation lacking.

I am happy with my DVD player. It is all I wanted in a DVD. Beautiful colors and easy to use and setup.

I like the simplicity of this product and it's features are easy to master. I especially like the fact that I can press one button and go directly to Netflex. My only objection is that, one time, the unit just went dead. No power, no response to anything. I thought it was defective but, Sony customer support just had me disconnect the device from power for 10 seconds, and then re-power up. Problem solved but, not before some choice words were muttered about the product!

I was surprised at how light this DVD player was, it weighs nothing. Setup was as simple as it could be - turn it on and it prompts for everything it needs, including connecting to WiFi. The picture is really good (I have it hooked up to a 65" 4K Sony TV (not 3D). I generally just use a DVD player only for watching DVDs (not Netflix or other internet features - I have other devices that I use for those functions), so this DVD player works very well for my purposes.

At $99 this was the best value for a 3d blu ray. My lg tv auto detects the 3d signal and it works well with my pioneer sc-81 receiver. Decodes dts -hd master which is a major plus. Very happy

Works great for its purpose. I like that it recognizes when I turn it on or off and my tv input changes automatically to either the blu ray or back to tv (without having to fiddle with the remote). I don't use the apps as I have the same features on my Sony TV but still a nice to have. I did have picture and sound issues at first but it turned out the hdmi cable I purchased was bad. Once that was replaced, picture and sound are perfect.

Good DVD , what I expected from Sony. Setup was easy except that the directions were in Spanish and I speak English. Had to call tech support and they showed me how to get back to English. No problems so far.

I had a Sony DVD player that remembered exactly where I pause viewing across many DVDs. When it died I got a Samsung. It rarely remembered. I got this to replace the Samsung. It is better, but still has lapses.

I bought this simply for playing DVD and Blu Ray Disks. I have a smart TV and stream players and I also don't play online games, so didn't buy this for streaming or gaming. This player does play DVD smoothly. No noise, no frame freeze, no heat. It worked out of the box. Remote is very sharp and sensitive to button press. DVD is compact size and fully functional. I don't know what else you need in a DVD player. Highly recommend.
