Easy to use , loads fast , small footprint, great sale price

Loaded with streaming apps...Upscales to 4k...This player is legit. Best I've ever owned by far.

I purchased this product to compliment my new 55" Sony Bravia 4K UHD 3D Smart T.V.. While it plays most BR DVD disks, it upscales only, a small detail I missed when I purchased it. When I tried to play a 4K UHD movie, it didn't recognize the disk (why would it?) and at that time I realized my mistake. I don't blame this on sales, I just didn't pay attention to the features like I should have. The product works OK, except I did have a couple of BR DVD's with sound issues that played fine on my last BR DVD player. Not really sure why. Basically it is an inexpensive Sony BR DVD player that is supposed to make your picture better but it really under serves a smart T.V.'s capabilities. If you have a smart T.V., splurge and pay the couple hundred extra and get the 4K UHD 3-D player if you want the full features of a smart T.V.. The Sony bdps 6500 is fine for your average HD T.V. set. I picked up a Samsung full featured BR 4K player for a hundred dollars more from Best Buy and will use the small foot printed Sony with my 32" bedroom T,V..

I bought this at Christmas. It has updated itself a couple of times already. It is paired with a Samsung 8500 series TV. No problems at all. The picture is bright, vivid and really pops. The player loads quickly and there is a noticeable improvement with HDR enabled.

like the streamlined size and the features with a great price

I am a new Blueray user, and didn't know what i was missing. The movies are so much clearer, and the effects are better with the Blueray.

The player works great and audio/video quality is amazing. I'm still having issues with the streaming / smart features but hope to have that resolved soon!

Descent for the price however dvd's sometimes freeze up and the screen goes black. Also older dvd's seem blurry.

Loads really slow occasionally, rebooted and seemed to help. Has had to find internet a couple times. waiting to get my 4k tv to see how it really works

This is the first blu-ray player I've owned. I purchased it and my Sony 930D 55" 2160 Smart 4K Ultra HD w/ HDR TV Black Friday. The first film I watched is a DVD of 'Blade Runner'. Between the player and the TVs ability to enhance earlier produced material the picture was amazing. The opening scenes of a future LA at night tells it all.

As an extra bonus, this player can also play formats such as the Super Audio Compact Disc (SACD), which is a real plus if you want to integrate it with your Hi-Fi system.
