Setup is a bit tricky and the instructions aren’t very clear but you can find tons of videos on YouTube. Would recommend!

The automatic belt is really convenient so I don't have to worry about removing the needle before and after.

Out of the box, the speed was way too fast for the 33 setting. Our records sounded like chipmunks. Verified the drive belt was routed properly, etc. Luckily there's a video on Youtube showing how to adjust the speed. Had to download an RPM app on our phone to dial it in. The 45 setting was spot on. Very disappointing that out of the box the speed settings required adjustment.

Take it out of the box, plug the 2 RCA in to the phono input on the back side of the receiver, plug the power supply in, snap the dust cover on and you're ready to go. Set-up time: <10 minutes. Tone arm + cartridge are factory set. No dealing with balancing the tone arm, setting anti-skate, etc. Sounds great.

I haven’t owned one in decades so I can’t provide much comparison but hooked up to a decent receiver and some B&W speakers it sounds great. Smooth action on the swing arm and easy pairing on BT if needed.

Just don't know how long it will last. Sony usually stands by their products though.
