Teenager friendly. Bluetooth a bonus. We will add the Sony bookcase speakers and amplifier later to enhance the sound for the best quality.

This review is for the experience of purchasing an Open Box turntable from Best Buy. I like to support refurbishment and open box reselling to cut down on waste but still have high standards so I chose the "Excellent" quality level item when purchasing this turntable. It only saved me $30 from the sale price of a new item, but again it was more about supporting the program and cutting down on waste while still getting a "like new" turntable that I'd been eyeing for a while. Upon receipt, I opened the package to discover the dust cover is riddled with scratches and scuffs and has an unknown substance glued on the center of the top side. Rather than "excellent" or "like new," it looks as if someone used and loved this turntable for years and then decided to trade it in. Not at all what was promised on the Best Buy website when I purchased. I didn't even bother to unpack the rest of the turntable; based on the cover alone, the item should be resold "Fair" condition at best. I am returning and purchasing from another seller.

Bought this turntable when my of many years stopped working

Christmas gift that did not work out of the box. Because of it being a gift,return period was over quickly because I bought it before Christmas...bought the 4 year geek squad protection with it and they wanted to send it off. Why buy Geek squad protection if they won't even look at it in house? what if it were a simple issue? Associate was going to let me exchange it and then manager stepped in and said I had to send it off to Sony. I just took it home to try and troubleshoot it myself with limited luck.

It turned out the person whom I bought it for loved the grift. The price was reasonable and has great sound quality.
