Posted .Thank you for sharing your experience and for the great feedback, Olso! We're glad to hear you're enjoying the clean and high-quality sound of the PS-LX310BT—it's a fantastic choice for vinyl lovers.
You’re absolutely right: while the PS-LX310BT features a built-in phono preamp, pairing it with a dedicated external phono amplifier can further enhance your listening experience, especially if you're connecting to high-end audio equipment or desire more fine-tuned sound adjustment. A quality phono amp can help reveal even more detail and warmth from your records, matching your turntable and speakers for the best possible audio performance.
If you do decide to upgrade, make sure the phono amp is compatible with the PS-LX310BT’s output settings. You can use the turntable’s LINE/PHONO switch to bypass the built-in preamp when connecting to an external unit. This flexibility makes it easy to experiment and find the setup that sounds best to you.
Let us know if you’d like specific recommendations or setup guidance—we're here to help you get the most out of your music!
Thank you for choosing Sony!
Best regards,
Gus

Pretty good for my first turntable
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a tiny record collection thanks to my coworker who bought me some spinners records. I got the itch to want to listen to them so I bought this. It's great because it was simple to assemble, the needle moves on it's own so I don't have to do anything except hit play or stop. I didn't have space for it by my receiver but luckily the table has Bluetooth so I was able to pair it to my receiver (although that process is a little clunky some times and I dont know which device is to blame). The buttons are almost a little too clicky and I'm not sure I like that because it makes it feel low build quality but maybe just intentionally retro. I also don't like that the main body is plastic. My coworker also told me that I can't replace the needle (I didn't realize when looking ay reviews that the "cartridge" was the needle) so at some point I'll have to scrap the entire unit, which was disappointing to hear but I'll use it so infrequently that it won't happen for a long time. My coworker also yelled at be for connecting it via Bluetooth since that defeats the purpose of going analog but I had to make that compromise due to space constraints. He scoffed when I told him it had output that could let me record the records on my PC and was mad I bought this table without consulting him but he recently bought a $1200 table and his lowest-priced recommendations for me were $250 minimum (and from brands I'm unfamiliar with) which is too much to spend when I only own 5 records and am not as huge of an audiophile as he is.

Easy setup, great sound
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this for a friend of mine for his birthday and had a chance to witness it in action. It was easy to setup and vinyl sounds perfect on it compared to the couple other turntables he's tried.

Great turntable for digitizing records.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for the sole purpose of digitizing my record collection. With Audacity software on my laptop and after watching some tutorials on YouTube, it was quick and easy. Also, the Bluetooth connection easily paired with my wireless Bose headphones and the connection was strong.

Sony Turntable.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. No latch to hold tone arm when not using. Instead there is a tiny plastic cover to slide over the stylus. They mention to tie a string around the tone arm. The RCA output is hard wired into turn table. Other wise it sounds great.

Great Vinyl Player
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had mine for about 5 or so months now got it open box and i cant be happier. It didnt have a scratch on it came with all the original packaging and parts. I mean it looked as if someone bought it opened it looked inside than tapped it back up and returned it. People keep telling me this player is good for beginners and hey thats fine with me does exactly what I ask without fail. Get you one if you just want to plug, play and relax to some good tunes.

Really nice, simple, good looking turntable
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this as a starter turntable, to add to my entry-audiophile setup (Naim Nait amp, KEF R3 speakers). I liked it, then got back into vinyl a bit more and purchased what I thought would be an upgrade - a Fluance RT85. After running them side-by-side I couldn't justify the additional cost of the Fluance + required phone stage. A huge difference in price for a minimal improvement in sound - even through my high-end system. Also a major reduction in convenience as any of the high end systems, like the Fluance, are manual turntables. Lastly, the Fluance was surprisingly just not a better looking unit - it's bigger and more clunky. I'm pretty big on aesthetics, so that was another reason that I just couldn't pay 3-4x for that alternative option. All this without going into the fact that it offers a ton of great features for the money. Definitely a great option all around, and remarkable at this price point.

Solid Record Player
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s Sony so you know it’s quality. My first “real” record player and I couldn’t be happier with the quality of sound and functionality. Bluetooth works flawlessly and I’ll be looking at some speakers to hard wire them as I’m sure that would be superior audio quality.

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently purchased this record player, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. This device has truly exceeded my expectations in terms of both form and function. First and foremost, the sound quality is simply exceptional. The warm, rich tones that emanate from the speakers bring a whole new dimension to my music collection. It’s like rediscovering my favorite albums all over again. The precision and clarity of the stylus tracking on the vinyl surface are impressive, ensuring that every note and nuance is faithfully reproduced.

Easy to use and set-up!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great turntable for the price. Easy too use. I like that it's not complicated. Connected to Bluetooth very easily. I love the automatic arm. Much better that placing the arm on the vinyl manually. The attached cover stays in place when it's open so no accidental crash closes!
