BRAVIA 6 BAR & WOOFER, MAYBE FOR A SMALLER ROOM

WE RETURNED IT AND UPGRADED TO THE BRAVIA 8 BAR WITH A SEPARATE WOOFER.

Box is very sturdy and durable. Soundbar and subwoofer were placed and packaged nicely. Lots of cardboard surrounding both pieces and shape of the box kept everything in place without moving or sliding. Soundbar review: Soundbar was easy to unpack and setup. Came with HDMI and power cable. I plugged both in and off to the app I went. Soundbar is attractive and slim. Sits nicely below my TV as if it was made to fit the space. Sound fills the room and is very rich and fulfilling. Subwoofer review: Subwoofer connected quickly and effortlessly to the soundbar without fail. Sounds are rich and vibrant coming from the woofer. The size of the subwoofer is easy to place, small footprint and yet big sound. Sound overall: Impressive, dynamic and fills the room wonderfully. The bass is very deep and soothing as well. I have watched a few action movies and feels like I am in the action. Amazing design to fill any room. Voice clarity is amazing as well. I can understand words better than ever before.

The size is not huge like some sound bars. This one comes in around 37 inches long, 2 1/2 inches high and a little over 4 inches deep. The subwoofer is pretty heavy and of good size, so I have that on the floor near my TV. The sound bar will fit nicely on a lot of TV stands or can be mounted to the wall which I have done right under the TV so I can use it for the TV and since I have a music app, the sound is awesome for just listening to music off of the TV. The look is stylish and simple. It is covered in a black metal mesh that doesn’t affect the sound and hides the speakers. There is an HDMI port on the back to connect to your television. This is the only connection, so make sure you have an HDMI Arc port on your television, otherwise this will not work with it. It even comes with an HDMI cable!!! There are no buttons on the sound bar itself, but it comes with a small remote control. If you lose the remote, Sony has the Bravia Connect App to control it via your smart device, so I advise downloading the app when you set it up. You can change the volume and other settings to optimize your sound system on either. The app even gives tech support and gives access to the latest software updates. Dolby Atmos is a technology that is surround sound without all the added fixed speakers. This gives you an amazing sound experience that is realistic and you feel like you are right there in the movie, TV show or at a concert. There are other audio features on this sound system also, such as the clear voice algorithms. This is good for people who have a hard time hearing vocals because it makes the vocals clearer to hear. This also comes with the Multi Stereo mode. This makes regular stereo sound feel richer and fuller. The sound bar also has Bluetooth technology so if you want to listen to music from your phone or tablet, you can easily set it up. I recommend this sound system for the rich sounds and immersive audio. With this price range you really get what you pay for and then some.

I paid $650 for this …. No more Sony and no more Best Buy.

Theater Quality Sound For Your Home

I have Sony systems already in my home and love them, so I had high expectations for this soundbar and I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint. For my review I tested and compared it to my complete Sony HT-A5000 theater system (5.1.2) and my Sony HT-S2000 Compact soundbar (3.1). The sound quality on it is top notch, it can get booming and loud for large living rooms/ theater rooms and for smaller spaces its crystal clear without shaking the walls, and the bass from the subwoofer is rich and deep. It has the Surround Sound Field technology which when paired with tweeters/rear speakers creates a 360 soundscape. Set up and getting to learn the controls is insanely easy even for those that are new to the Sony line of products. One little detail I loved about this soundbar is the included little base pads or feet, which might not seem like a crazy big deal but its actually a welcome addition since my two other devices didn't come with any. There are only two minor details I didn't like and they're so minor they don't even knock a star off. For one, the controller is the same as the HT-S2000, so either remotes could control either device. This means I can't have them powered on simultaneously or nearby because one remote would try to adjust both at the same or the other when not intending to. Second, there isn't a more easily recognizable way to know when Sound Field is On or Off. When toggled only a little light blinks on the soundbar, the sound quality is audibly different so it's not impossible to tell but compared to my other two devices which show (S.F. On or S.F. Off) when toggled its a minor detail that seems weird to change. Overall, I love the Sony BRAVIA Theater Bar, it's sound quality is top of the line, it's so good it's bumped out my HT-S2000 from the TV it was connected to. I would absolutely recommend it if you want to take your home theater to another level.
