To answer your question about the soundbar needing to be plugged into the amplifier: some soundbars are designed this way to make sure you get the best sound quality and a stable connection. It helps reduce signal loss and keeps everything working smoothly, but we understand it can feel a bit inconvenient.

About the crackling from your wireless surround speakers, let’s try a few steps that might help:

-Turn off the soundbar and speakers, unplug them for a minute, then plug them back in and turn them on again.

-Make sure the speakers and soundbar are not too far apart and there are no big objects or thick walls between them.

-Open the Sony | BRAVIA Connect app.
Select Settings → Wireless Speaker Connection Settings.
Disable the Optimizing Connection Frequency setting and enable it again.

-Check if your soundbar has any software updates available and install them if possible.

We understand wanting to simplify your setup! You can likely use just one remote (your TV remote) to control basic functions like volume and power for both the TV and the sound system, provided your TV supports the HDMI CEC feature and your Soundbar is connected via HDMI.

To enable this function on your HT-S60 soundbar, please go to the following settings:

Settings > HDMI Settings > Control for HDMI > Set to ON

Once enabled, your TV should recognize the soundbar and allow control via a single remote. We hope this helps simplify your experience!

Regarding your comment, while the rear speakers and subwoofer connect wirelessly to the main amplifier box for a clean look, please remember that the soundbar itself needs a wired connection to the subwoofer, and the subwoofer, the wireless amplifier box (which powers the rear speakers), and the soundbar/subwoofer connection still need to be plugged into a power outlet (AC) to function. We design the system this way to ensure maximum audio stability and performance, giving you the best Dolby Atmos/DTS:X experience with minimal clutter.
