Immersive Sound Experience with Easy Setup

I've been utilizing my brand new Sony BRAVIA Theater System 6 for just over a month, and it has completely changed the way I view movies and listen to music. The system features a 5.1 channel surround setup (10 total speakers with subwoofer, and rear speakers) that brings true immersion and presence, and it fills the room up easily. I'm most impressed by the center channel speaker, which makes hearing dialogue in shows and movies so much more appealing. Given that many shows and movies are dialogue-heavy, enjoying TV shows and movies on my BRAVIA is mesmerizing! One of my favorite features of the BRAVIA Theater System 6 is the ability to support Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X® for true cinematic sound. One of the more ample advantages of Atmos and DTS:X is that explosions and sounds become louder in action films and that ambient background detail becomes more present in dramatic settings. I also appreciate the generous Multi Stereo option; Very helpful when I have guests over. The Multi Stereo option takes sound through all the speakers in the system, concerto style. I connected the system to my Sony BRAVIA TV. Immediately, I noticed integrated features such as being able to view sound settings in the quick menu, and having access to everything through a single remote. The BRAVIA Connect app feature also further enhances the way I can adjust and view settings while managing elements on my phone. As far as Bluetooth streaming, there were no issues connecting my phone and streaming music. I also found the DSEE feature (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) very helpful in upconverting compressed audio files. In total, the BRAVIA Theater System 6 has everything you need from sound performance to simple setup and control. This system is great for anyone wanting to upgrade their current entertainment setup at home. Highly recommended!

    Minimalistic styling with cinematic power

When I opted to get a new home theatre system, I was hoping for and knew I was in for something special when the Sony Bravia 6 Home Theatre System box landed at my front door. The sheer weight of it told me everything I needed to know, this thing was built solid. I’ve always believed that a little heft in home electronics usually means quality components inside, and Sony definitely did not disappoint here. Unboxing the system felt like peeling open a premium audio experience. Inside the package was a massive subwoofer that looks and feels like it means business. There are two sleek rear satellite speakers, which connect to a plug-in wireless amplifier. And the final piece was a clean, minimalist soundbar that’s low profile but high class in design. The setup process was smooth and straightforward, thanks to the Sony BRAVIA connect app. The app walks you through step by step, including optimizing your surround sound field so you’re getting the best audio experience based on your room’s acoustics. But one setup feature that really stood out for me, the single-cable connection from the soundbar to the subwoofer. That one cable provides power and signal, eliminating the clutter of having to run a separate HDMI or optical cable and a power cord to the soundbar. This made my entire setup look super clean, like something out of a tech magazine. Now, fair warning, this design means the subwoofer needs to be near the soundbar or at least near a power source, which could limit placement flexibility for some. Once I fired this thing up, the sound production was immediately impressive. The full spectrum of audio is here, deep lows, crisp highs, and clean, balanced mids that make dialogue pop even during action scenes. To test the surround capabilities, I ran a few YouTube 5.1 audio tests and my jaw nearly hit the floor. The DTS and Atmos 5.1 immersion is real. The rear speakers throw just enough directional audio to create that wraparound experience, and the sub hits with authority, deep, thumping bass that doesn’t feel too boomy or muddy. I couldn’t wait for movie night with the fam. We dove into an action-packed thriller followed by a few episodes of a favorite drama series, and it felt like we were at the theater. The sound field is wide, immersive, and well-tuned to adapt to whatever content we threw at it. If you’re looking for a new home theatre system with a true theater feel without the mess of wires and complexity, and you want something that still brings that cinematic punch, this system lives up to the Sony Bravia legacy. The price may be a little steep, but this system hits that perfect sweet spot between aesthetics and performance. It’s got a clean, minimalist setup, a smart layout with that single-cable soundbar design, and delivers big-room sound in a package that doesn’t take over your living room.

This system packs a serious punch. Setup took a normal amount of time and he pretty much dependent on where you want to place the speakers. The subwoofer is pretty much a beast. Its bigger than I expected and has a good bit of weight to it. After hooking it up and hearing the bass, it is understandable as to why. The sound bar itself while sleek has poweful and very crisp and clear sound. The subwoofer and sound bar connect together so be sure to account for cable length. Wish the HDMI cable that comes with it was longer. Since my TV was wall mounted, I had to order a 15 foot cable to make it all work. The rear satellite speakers connect to a module and the module then plugs into a standard wall outlet. These speakers provide excellent surround sound that takes movies and sports broadcasting to a new level. You can mount the soud bar to the wall also if you wish. The rear speakers can be mounted, placed on a flat surface or you can utilize speaker stands which are not included. The 5.1 channel performs as you would expect. Very clear and concise sound. Dolby Atmos is also supported. The rear speakers provide a decent amount of slack so you can run the speakers as you see fit. This is ideal for a medium to large living space. I am impressed with this sound system. I have it connected to a new 77 inch Bravia 8 4K TV. Installing the speaker system again is straightforward and you also need to install the app. Overall I am very pleased and would highly recommended this system!

This theater system by Sony is an absolute beast! Getting set up and running was pretty straightforward, especially with the app. It walked me through every step, and I got it up and running in no time. Additionally, the rear speakers do not need to be wired to the front speakers, so there's no annoying wiring installation that needs to happen. It's really user-friendly in my opinion and 100% the way to go. The sound quality is insane. It's truly immersive and extremely satisfying. I always feel like the sound mixing for movies is horrible because the dialogue is usually hard to hear while the music and sound effects are crystal clear. That issue is remedied with the sound bar that is specifically meant for dialogue. It's so lovely and has saved me so many ear aches by not needing to turn the volume up significantly to hear dialogue. The back speakers and the subwoofer really put in the work to make it feel like you're in a theater. I can not express to you how satisfying it is to just sit down and get lost in a film with this new sound system. The only frustrating issue I have with this system is that you need a compatible Bravia TV to get the most out of the system using Voice Zoom 3. However, it's not something that's keeping me from enjoying it, just something to keep in mind if you don't have a compatible Bravia TV. Other than that, I absolutely love it. Def recommend!

Amazing Sounding with questionable design decision

I really like the sound of this sound bar. In all my years of testing out sound bars this is probably on of the best sounding ones I have ever used. Which is also why this is one of the most confounding pieces of tech I have used It's modern but also very old school and in some ways it works but in other ways it really holds it back. Let me explain by going through the setup easy while also being a bit of pain in the butt. This sound bar is wireless but also not and let me explain why. You take the system out of the box and the actual bar has no electronic components to it. all it has is one cable that connects to the subwoofer. the subwoofer is where all your connections are housed so this leads to two things. its bigger than you would normally have for this size and you have to have it relatively close to your tv so you can run your HDMI or optical cable to it. now you go ok well the sound bar and subwoofer are connected the rear have to be wireless? right? well your half right they are wireless sorta, they come with a box that the wired speakers connect to where there in lies the problem see the connections to the box from the speakers are proprietary connector so your stuck with the cable you get. this is where my problem lies as the rear of my room is open so I cannot run the cables in the back and they are not long enough to run from the front to the side of my couch. This is the biggest downside for me as the speakers are a bit in front of me and not behind. which takes away some of the effect. don't get me wrong the sound bar still sounds amazing and voices come in through clean and crisp.

Sound bars have come a long way. This Sony sound bar system is more comparable to a home theater in a box than just a standard sound bar. It has the main sound bar, two satellite surround sound speakers, a subwoofer and the wireless module for the rear speakers. All these components feel very well built and have some weight to them. The look is very simple with an all black finish. Setting it up was pretty straightforward. Once everything was set up and dialed in, I tested it out with some movies. The sound for movies was alright at best. The front soundstage had a very tinny sound and didn't separate the left, center and right channels very well. The surrounds work as they should also sound very tinny. The subwoofer is decent but doesn't really impress me. The atmos effect was non existent. That was very disappointing. It's definitely better than the built in tv speakers or even a standard soundbar, but the sound quality is not there. I'd prefer an actual system with separate speakers over this., for immersive audio. For music, I used bluetooth and it sounded decent. I prefer the sound for music over the sound for home theater. I feel for this price point, it isn't worth it. This should be much cheaper. Overall, I don't think it performs as promised in the descriptions.
